Overall impressions of the beamback: got there 30 mins before kick-off. Very small queue to get in. Efficient entry. 1st member of staff scans your ticket, 2nd mos gives you a pink wristband, 3rd mos gives you a drinks voucher. Efficient bar service, drink served in seconds on production of voucher. Subsequent drinks also served efficiently with little or no queues. No need for clunky app either, just pay by card exactly same as on concourse. Multiple screens everywhere, you'd be hard pushed to find a restricted view of the action. It was easy to move around, plenty of space, and because it was enclosed, there was no wind tunnel effect as was reported in midweek. No restrictions on going upstairs, which was nice. Didn't order food, but it looked pretty good from what I could see. Also from what I could see you'd be hard pushed to find somewhere to sit down and eat it. As with Dick's Bar, the seat-hoggers were out in force and fiercely guarded every available seat. Mildly annoying, tho I guess there's not a lot that can be done about that other than employing somebody to zap some of the hogger-buggers with a cattle prod occasionally pour encourager les autres.

Overall I found it a quite impressive space to watch a beamback and would recommend it to anyone who is able to watch an entire match without any guarantee of getting a seat. Not sure I'd fancy the downstairs congestion on a matchday though.

8/10
Thanks good report. Personally if im paying for the beamback i would want a seat. Couldnt the club bring in some temp fold up chairs to suppliment the benches?

To be fair, the upstairs section as well as benches also had loads of those little round tables from Dick's complete with three or four seats. But unless you got there early every seat was already taken or was 'somebodys seat' according to the usually slightly snarky occupants of the table. And these people were guarding 'their' table with their very lives. That's partly why it was so easy to move around inside 😀

It cleared out pretty quickly, we stayed behind until just before 6 and there wasn’t many in there.
Definitely impressed with the Terrace.
About the time we left. It pretty much emptied on the full time whistle of our game. We hung around to see Villa going 2 up, would have stayed longer, but they started Shutting down the food options and the beer was kicking in, probably because we’d been there since just after 11.

Got tickets for the Brentford beam back and looking forward to that. Of course the extra bonus was no queues at all for the trains. Think if we’d got a result as you say, it would have been a real party till much later.

If you got there at 11 where did you choose to sit?
We had a good look around after the match when it was almost empty, I thought being able to watch the big screens was probably the best option.

On Wednesday we were upstairs but couldn’t really see the big screens as well, so yesterday we were at the first table when you went in nearest the bar. Think there was about twelve of us there by the time the match started. All had good views of the big wrap around screens, using yesterday as a guide think it was about 1.30-2.00 when all the tables were full and was standing room only.

Was a really good enjoyable afternoon with the only downside being the second half.

We got there about 1.45 and all the seats looked taken, wasn’t bothered as stood up downstairs and watched the big screens.
I couldn’t believe how quick it was at half time to buy drinks, and the choice of drinks looked good, I don’t drink alcohol but noticed there was plenty of non alcoholic drinks available.

I was particularly impressed that the beamback ticket cost £6 and my free pint of Cruzcampo would have cost £6.50

Even better was the fact it was free drink vouchers, so I could buy the non alcohol drinking menders of the group cheaper soft drinks, then use their free vouchers for more money saving Cruzcampo.

On a random side note, on Wednesday we (and fully appreciate I’m not target audience) really weren’t impressed with the music, year was a seemingly much better all round selection for all.
