Go back and watch the 1-3 loss against Palace in December or the 2-2 against Villa and compare the performances to our three losses this week.

We've taken massive steps forward and if we don't reap the rewards now, we'll do it next season.

Overall this season, the results have been slightly better than expected and the performances slightly worse. The latter part has improved a lot do and losing a few games doesn't remove that progress.
How about going back and watching us beat Palaxe 4-1 and Villa 1-0 in a phase of last season you called something like disastrous.

I don't get this thing where we are happy to let the opposition just leave unmarked players on the wing for an easy quick break for them. Defenders don't even need to look, they just know to hit it out to the wing and the attack is on.
All teams seem to do it against us now and it causes us problems all the time.

Its just not very relevant when the discussion right now appears to be if we've improved over the course of the season and to what extent in that case.

It’s pretty relevant when you’ve posted a number of times how tough Forest, Palace and Villa are for our current team and we beat all three last season under a coach you don’t rate.

We didn’t play well in the Villa game and only won because their eyes were wholly on the Conference League. I wouldn’t necessarily include the Palace game in the “disastrous” phase but it was certainly one of the last games we played before that terrible run.

Apples and oranges when it was a Forest side still fighting relegation, a late Roy era Palace side, and a Villa side whose mind was elsewhere as noted above.

No. Still irrelevant.

A £200m injection in new players should see some improvement - you'd hope ?
I did not expect improvement in results this season, no. Most of our signings werent done to be good PL players this season.

Pretty sure a few weeks ago according to some we had the best second XI in the PL, unless I dreamt that.
Is this really the best you've got? You probably couldn't find two posters on here that said that, although do go ahead. Even if you did manage to locate them, what's to say that those posters aren't utterly clueless? Not unlike many enjoying themselves on this thread in the past 23 hours.

Mitoma, Pedro, Baleba, JPVH, Veltman, Holland’s number one…top quality internationals off the top of my head. Before you get the £200m investment.
As for injuries - you won’t find an equivalent messageboard in the land where fans don’t complain about injuries.
He hasn‘t worked wonders.
Wow, you're on one. Maybe you can share with us some data as to which club has suffered the most from injuries this season, and that might indicate to you that fans' messageboards are full of entitled buffoons with a questionable grip on what actually occurs.

Core team just looks progressively weaker as we sell off many of our star players every summer and replace them with slightly inferior, er, replacements. That's not a sustainable football model. RDZ called it exactly right

What is a sustainable football model for a club of Brighton’s size in the PL?

Replacing like-for-like or even (crazy talk I know) improving on the player stock. Sorry, but I just see that stock diminishing year-on-year. Lovely infrastructure tho
If the stock is diminishing year on year then how are we selling many of our star players every summer?

Make your mind up.
