Isn't it starnge that the modern glass hotel on the seafront, now the Leonardo, got planning permission, but the Royal Albion has to rebuild as is.

Don't park there mate !
Trying to work out which is which.
Handy with the garage next door - you could have a couple of cheeky ones, then stagger out to the car, fill up with fuel and drive home. Now your only option would be to get a taxi!!Trying to work out which is which.
So the pub in the old picture isn't the taxi office even though the window looks the same. In fact the old pub is now the newer building on the right of the new picture.
I believe the pub windows upstairs have just been altered in the newer photo, the downstairs windows are the same. I don’t believe the pub is a newer building, I used to live near there and used this pub and it’s an old building.Trying to work out which is which.

We obviously can’t see all of the taxi office / garage in the old photo to compare with the new one.
I'd go by the road junction farther up and count back on windows!Trying to work out which is which.

My dad was a Streamline cabbie post WW2 until 80s. IIRC the garage was at one time only for taxis where the mechanic was "Uncle Bernard". My dad had a few years as office manager and I sometimes used to "help" him out (probably when my mum had had enough of me!).Handy with the garage next door - you could have a couple of cheeky ones, then stagger out to the car, fill up with fuel and drive home.
