Think there's some 50 clubs in the world that would want him at that fee so he's probably going to be a very well paid young man next season.Release clause is 30 million on relegation.

I wonder how long before he’s getting an England call up. Cited as the next Kane for England…just as long as he doesn’t end up at Spurs first….Think there's some 50 clubs in the world that would want him at that fee so he's probably going to be a very well paid young man next season.
Doubt that, why is Ensisco not playing with his mate at Brighton ?I’m sure Julio is in his ear really selling the Albion to him
Well. On that basis we'd never have signed Brazil's No 9 striker in 2023 - already proven in the Prem and Championship (like Delap) , or spend £40m to land a young No.10 last summer, already proven in the Bundesliga, Prem and Championship and who was a hot young French prospect.I can't believe this thread is still going. We're not signing one of the hottest young English prospects that's already proven in the Prem for goodness sake.
Were Pedro and Georgi subject to the same hype as Delap though?Well. But we did.
Haha have you been drinking? Pedro Proven in Prem? 3 goals in 28 games for Watford? I suppose it's not much different to his scoring record now.Well. Two summers ago some on here were utterly convinced we were going to sign Cole PalmerI can't believe this thread is still going. We're not signing one of the hottest young English prospects that's already proven in the Prem for goodness sake.
Once he's finished his job for the England U21s with the U21 Euros this summer, he should be right in the mix.I wonder how long before he’s getting an England call up. Cited as the next Kane for England…just as long as he doesn’t end up at Spurs first….
Tbf that was mainly a loan rumour. And we ended up loaning Ansu Fati who at the time arguably was considered the bigger talent. Two summers ago some on here were utterly convinced we were going to sign Cole Palmer
Teetotal for 7 years ! I’m saying Both are easily as proven then as Delap is now. Anyway you’re buying a prospect not the finished article.Haha have you been drinking?
But that is demonstrably not the case!?I’m saying Both are easily as proven then as Delap is now.
No signing is the same as the next one but there’s a serious underplaying of Albions transfer ambition, spend and attractiveness to players here. Were Pedro and Georgi subject to the same hype as Delap though?
They might be now but they weren't established in the PL when we bought them. Unlike Delap, who has now scored double numbers and established himself.Teetotal for 7 years ! I’m saying Both are easily as proven then as Delap is now. Anyway you’re buying a prospect not the finished article.
Agreed he might not fit given our squad and there would have to be movement. But why the absolute certainty ? We sign big young prospects now - and he certainly fits our model.
I'm pretty sure we tried to get him (on loan?)Two summers ago some on here were utterly convinced we were going to sign Cole Palmer
Fair enough - I think the issue here is not only that we're not prepared to outbid the likes of Chelsea on wages, the function we serve, as a platform where players can announce themselves to bigger clubs, is redundant for Delap now that he has made a name for himself at Ipswich. No signing is the same as the next one but there’s a serious underplaying of Albions transfer ambition, spend and attractiveness to players here.
