I can see the rest of the season ending with a couple of draws and a few defeats , and the season will fizzle out ,
next year the Premier will be stronger, And even teams like Everton will be a lot stronger, can’t see us doing much next season unless we get some quality defenders, and a decent defensive midfielder, tired of us signing number 10s and wide players that are not better that the players we already have , as for FB not experienced enough to take us to the next level ,

Position in table is ok but do feel he has been a lucky manager this season. Far more games this season we were fortunate to win than unlucky to lose. I do think he is more like a school teacher than a leader like DeZerbi. Unlike DeZerbi he will agree with everything club said which I am sure goes down well with PB.
I certainly think players in dressing room after that crap 2nd half performance would be more comfotable facing him than DeZerbi.

I'm getting lots of 1999-2000 season vibes. Loads of new players, (almost) new manager, lots of hope, great start, then an absolutely dreadful run over the winter, throwing away games (4-3 v Rochdale in the rain anyone?) losing at home to the bottom club, 2 points out of 18 and a lot of people started calling for the managers head. Then we went on a fantastic run of 6 wins and a draw out of 7 in the spring sunshine and we got on the verge of the playoffs, we all got very excited about a top-7 finish, but then another run of 5 without a win and we finished 11th.

We won the league the following season. And the one after...

It's hardly been a non-event, we've done the double over United, beaten City, credible draws home and away with Arsenal and made a cup quarter final. Maybe it isn't going to be quite as good as we hoped for a few weeks ago.

If this season is a non-event get ready for lots of them in the future because Premier League economics mean we aren't going to be qualifying for Europe every season.
The harsh facts are bhafc have won nothing, nothing in 124 years. I hope that might change in my lifetime but at 62 that is fading. Just an fa cup or league cup will do. Look at what joy it brought the geordies this year. With the investment made we really should not be just making up the numbers anymore imo

What is this obsession with wanting people who says no to everything their colleagues and superiors suggest? How is it supposed to work? Should we give managers 100% unlimited power to do any changes they want to the club and the team? How is that supposed to work in the long run or even the short run? When you go to work and say "no" to everything your boss tells you, is it helpful to the company or organisation you work in? Is is the basis of a functional work relationship? If you were the boss of a company, would you look to employ people who think all your ideas and all your work is shit?

I know I’ve said it a few times on this thread, but I’m just not enjoying this iteration of the Albion under FH. Personally that hasn’t happened since SH’s brief spell.

Yes we’ve had some great results this season, and a decent cup run, but largely I’ve not enjoyed the style or the constant reference to ‘process’ and ‘basics’. I’ve not yet seen much evidence of either of those things and we’re nearly at the end of the season.

Happy to listen to yours.........
Considering we’ve had the most success with Rutter & Pedro on the same pitch Im surprised you left Pedro out.
March has hardly played neither has Ferdi so not sure how you’ve made a judgement on those two.
Minteh offers more than March he’s young and can get up and down all day long.
Notice how Leicester grew in confidence when the pace of Minteh left the pitch it freed up an extra man for them.

I was basing it upon everyone being back to full fitness.
I was conflicted over March/Minteh to be sure. March pre injury was excellent at tracking back, and his crossing is far superior.
Ferdi is quality. I have no doubts about him having seen him at the Euros and his few full games.
Can't play Georgie,Pedro and Welbeck, and Welbecks team play and defensive work gets him in front of Pedro.

I think you are exagerating a little here. All my business life the plodders that never quiried anything were important to us but fact is the the big achievers were the vital ones but so often month by month was spent keeping them happy. Always demanding but they produced most of profits. DeZerbi spoke out of order once in an interview which is always likely with that type of character. I have heard both Gross and Lalana gushing with praise about his leadership qualities.
Nobody wants a manager that says no to everything but good to have have one that will stand by his own views even if different to what PB may think

Tony Bloom you mean.

Well, its not going to work like that. We have a proven incredibly successful model/club and it will not change due to some manager living in a rental flat peeking in for a year or two before moving on to wherever the money and glory is. Our managers need to be capable of adapting because the club is so incredibly successful that we simply won't give coaches much power outside.. coaching.

You preferred Hughton’s last season to this?
