We can’t blame RDZ for everything he’s been gone nearly a year now.
I am not blaming him for everything. All I am saying is Dunk was not injury prone in the slightest before that season he played through injuries. Since then he seems to be picking the up regularly. I think he just needs a good rest and we will see him back to his best.

He’s 33, this is called natural decline, it happens to all footballers. Injuries catch up with you. It might even happen to YOU.

You don't think being made to play through injuries has any affect at all then?
Not as much as being old and having played a hell of a lot of games, putting his huge body on the line every single one. Or as much as playing in a formation where we give the ball away high up the pitch, encourage fast players to run at us from deep and allow creative opposition players to play balls over the top and through the channels at will.
He cannot and will not be a starter next season.

When he was played through injuries we were on a European Charge, then he was rightly dropped to recover in the final game. I feel like this 'Roberto De Zerbi is the root of all our injury problems' is getting a bit tired.

It's hard to watch. Dunk was always my first name on the team sheet but since his hip injury earlier on in the season he's not been on it.

His all-action style of play must affect his body as well. He has never shied away from blocks and sliding blocks. Nothing wrong with this but it must surely take its toll unlike a more timid approach from other players.

Saturday was his worst performance for years. Both goals came from his mistakes.

JPVH & Baleba (or Cashin) should be our center back pairing Saturday.

In just over a year I'd say. 7th March, in Rome. That was a shocker.

When did I say that? This is just ONE injury and ONE player. Not all of them.
There has been a decline in Dunk's health since that period, I don't think it is crazy to see a link.

I don’t see a big link, he’s 33, he’s declining, it’s natural. This would have happened regardless and was beginning to show last season.

A did think he was so poor there was a chance he would be replaced by Cashin at half time

Crikey. Dunk was poor but this is harsh.

Dunk will do a good job in the box. But outside no.. Still dont understand why he was so far up field when twice lost the ball
I guess the centre backs were asked to step into midfield on Saturday. Adding another player striding forward would have been a plan to break down a low block. It backfired.
