He is alive and Senator Van Hollen was able to speak to him. It’s good to know there still some decent politicians.

Is it just me that finds it odd that he is sitting there smartly dressed and casually drinking a coffee? I had a picture in my mind of him being banged up with the rest of the tattooed clans in white shorts and tee shirt

With ready access to things like glass, and seemingly in an open area. Mind you, the coffee cups look empty - so presumably it was all just staged?

But I thought he was the most bestliest deal-maker ever, and was going to make a wonderful tremendous and beautifully tremendous peace, the most wonderful peace ever, on day one of his Presidency?

Yes - just posted this on the war thread. It's because he realises his best mate Putin isn't going to enter any sort of ceasefire - so he's lost interest. And he'll probably find a way of blaming Zelensky.

had expected this. Trump style is to bore of something, if he doesn't get what he wants he walks away. Russia hasn't offered anything, so Trump has two choices, carry on trying or say it's all their fault nothing could be settled.

I think you could probably alter your second choice to 'say it's all Ukraine's fault that nothing could be settled'.

I'm not sure I'd want to sign any deal with Trump. A short while later he'll be bending their arm behind their back trying to screw more out of them.

This uni-directional minerals deal has put the USA firmly at war with Ukraine albeit one with no bullets and rockets.
Someone needs to please sort him and the rest of the idiots out before it's too late.

Probably best for Ukraine and Europe were Trump to lose interest. Cut the US out of everything seems a sensible approach to almost anything at the moment. Let the adults work things out.

How does this silly c-unit look in a mirror and think he doesn't look completely ridiculous? Fcuking oompa loompa lookin twat.
Because he knows that however stupid he looks, and however much BS he spouts, tens of millions of 'ordinary' US citizens will continue worshipping him - such is their pathological hatred of liberals, apparently, and their utter joy at "owning the libs".

However many people attend - it still won't be as many as at the biggest inauguration day ceremony ever - more people that any other president has ever seen.......

He’s just realised that neither Putin or Zelensky fear him and the rest of the world thinks he’s a twat. His other problem is that he’s now getting push back at home. Harvard, Princeton and Stanford telling him to get scraped is very telling.

Not according to world affairs expert Matt Frei. Putin wants this, he doesn‘t want any settlement, he believes Ukraine doesn’t exist, its people irrelevant, he plans to take over the lot. Remember that he has the secret help of Iran, North Korea and China.

I think everyone knows that. Can't be a coincidence that this has come just hours after a mineral deal has been signed. Total smash and grab. Parasites
But deal isn't finalised so if Trump completely abandons Ukraine then why would they ratify it.
