I was with 2 mates. 2 of us were straight on the pitch, whilst the other wrestled with a steward intent on stopping him. It continued for several minutes and the steward didn't give up until he realised the South Stand was empty.

"We would like to ask all fans to respect this request of the club, staff and players, and also to work with our safety and stewarding staff at both remaining matches this season.

"Even if we were lucky enough to secure promotion against Wigan on Monday, then our players and coaches would want to aim do everything possible to secure the Championship title.

"With further games to be played after each match, it's vitally important to ensure player safety and avoid unnecessary injuries - for both our own players and our visitors.

"We also want our pitch to be in pristine condition for the visit of Bristol City later this month.

"Furthermore, following the Bristol City match, we still have matches to be played on the Amex pitch, including the Sussex Senior Cup Final, in which our club is taking part. Out of respect to our younger players and Crawley Town, our opponents, we would not want the pitch damaged - particularly as the club's ground staff will not have enough time to repair significant damage to the pitch.

"It's also important for us to point out that it remains an offence to enter the field of play, at any time, and this could result in arrest and exclusion from the stadium.

"If we are in a position to celebrate, and with the prospect of Premier League football to watch, we really do not want to have the occasion spoiled in any way or to be in a position where we may have to issue bans to supporters for next season."

Missed all the celebrating at the ground.
We had to go to a party in Devon the day before and Mrs H couldn't drive because she'd had an operation on her knee. So I had to drive her home than go back to the Amex with my son. Plan was to go on the train but due to traffic problems we didn't have time to do that or get him any grub so took the car & when we got the the ground he was hungry. Unfortunately no suitable GF grub at the ground that day (he's also veggie).
So, after celebrating the promotion we went back home to get him some grub.

I would like to say that I did NOT run on the pitch and any likeness to me is purely coincidental.
I absolutely did not run on the pitch.
It is the last sort of thing I would do.
It was a great day, though.
It is now around 15 years since I have been driving through country to the Amex.
It is still a joy, but the last few years leading up to the promotion,
(with the exception of the Hyypia era) were such fun.
I had a golf GTI at the time. A nippy car.
Mrs T came with me on occasions back then, and we'd stop somewhere for a nice meal on the way.
On the final promotion run, before an evening game we stopped off in Hastings, and I left my spectacles on the roof of the car.
Had to watch the match wearing my prescription sun glasses.
There is nothing that make one look more a prat than wearing sun glasses at night. In doors.
:lolol:

@Guinness Boy will tell you what an Eeyore thing that is to do. I once drove up Bear Road with my steering wheel lock on top of my car. For a bizarre reason it didn't come off until Freshfield Road. Must be some sort of Physics lesson in there.

I'll never forget celebrating the Derby result in the NS and then running on the pitch after promotion was confirmed. It really was a dream come true.

Obviously, we have had many special moments and games since, but the above is joint first with Will Buckley's winner against Donny at the first game at The Amex. Shortly followed by the Albion walking out with AEK Athens at The Amex as we start our first Europa League campaign. Really was magical and emotional moment.

How come you are such a new arrival on NSC?
You haven't, perchance, transitioned from a previous loser.

Indeed, and what a mad weekend that was.

Watched the Wolves game on telly with a few friends on the Friday before we went to an Escape Club reunion with Brandon Block and tons of 90s club tunes. Saturday and Sunday to just about recover before taking my boy, my mate and his boy, all incredibly excited to the game and watching with our big WSU group, now sadly much smaller in number for various reasons.

Definitely did not go on the pitch. Definitely.

Mate then had to go meet his wife in town so I kept both kids and watched the Huddersfield game in the North with them and a couple of beers. Mental scenes when that confirmed us mathematically, then a crazy train ride home, arriving back at my mate's place with two small boys and a bottle of fizz.

Tuesday. Was. A. Writeoff.
Not the same train that Little Sam and Ollie Norwood were surfed along l trust?

Well let's face it, pigs do like their grub!
