It's bugging me. Who was the Hinshelwood that lost 12 on the bounce before we sacked him for Stevie Coppell's got VD?Or, indeed, the first

You are indeed correct.Martinyou probably conflated him with the equally cack Jeff Wood
That...that in Spades. It all comes down to expectations and people expecting improvement to be linear.....
When you have sold two world class central midfielders who were part of the RDZ side that got us into Europe, it becomes very difficult to replace them, to keep that improvement linear.
If expectations grow on the back of investing in new talent (emphasis on the word investing) and expecting that new talent to be as good, if not better, than what you have sold and you expect £200m to give you an immediate return, then you are not really understanding how the club is run.
Europe is an ambition not an expectation -'there is a big difference! The Club are not expecting progress to be linear - whether finishing in the top 10 (which is still possible) is as close to linear than finishing 14th, which may also have been an expectation if things don't go to plan. Whether that's acceptable is down to TB - regardless of the whining and moaning on here. Trust the TB/PB process - it's been working well, if FH is no longer part of that process, I'd respect/trust TB/PB's decisions, cos I ain't gonna change anything......
I voted "IN" on your poll, because I think there is a near-zero chance of him being sacked now, and you didn't specify WHEN he should be out-ed.
Which is why I started this thread!
Couldn’t he have said please don’t buy Cashin in the recent window recruitment team, I need someone with pace?I don't think FH can be judged until he has something like a fully-fit squad to pick from. And until the recruitment people find him a central defender with some pace. Until that happens we are always going to struggle against sides like Brentford.
I didn’t vote because it’s a crap poll so I gave my opinion in my first post. I’d be amazed if Bloom is entirely happy and think Hurzeler will be on thin ice if someone becomes available who is more likely to improve the players. If there were clear signs of progression, they’d be unlikely to remove him but I’d be surprised if he’s got that luxury. I’m well aware how good Albion’s situation is having been around a long time. Finishing mid-table in the Premier League doesn’t bother me. Not getting the best out of the players does.Polite question. You haven't voted, and you say you have no idea. Why are you participating in this thread? This is not a personal criticism, but a general disappointment with Brighton fans who don't know how good their footballing life is.
I am ultimately judging FH on how he sets us up. I don’t remember the last time a Brighton side conceded breakaway goals so often. The system is not working and if it’s because we have injured players and defenders with no pace surely he should be setting us up in a more pragmatic system. It seems he is incapable of using a system that doesn’t expose the defence, not just occasionally but multiple times every game.I don't think FH can be judged until he has something like a fully-fit squad to pick from. And until the recruitment people find him a central defender with some pace. Until that happens we are always going to struggle against sides like Brentford.
Can I answer this after West Ham?Interested when the Fab Out-ers want the axe to fall.
But the context for this manager over other managers is different Bold. He has started with a different level of backing and resources. Agreed he has had to bed in new players but he has also had some experienced players around him too. Like you, I’m not thinking Bloom will change manager. That said, if we implode over the next few games, who knows?Ha ha ha like the owner is going to sack a manger whom he took a risk on that is likely to either get the joint 3rd or 2nd highest points total in the club’s history.

Now. New manager bounce might yield 2/3 wins with this squad and run in. Under Fab it’s likely to be 0-1 and therefore zero chance of Europe.Interested when the Fab Out-ers want the axe to fall.
I'd point the f***ing finger and say:
Bart - you are allowed to make a f***ing save and maybe even come and claim a cross
Pervis - you were f***ing shit. Oh and use your right foot you moron
Dunk - how do you want to be remembered?
JPVH - you were a red card waiting to happen but at least you care.
Minteh - learn to use your right foot. It's embarrassing and means we (and you) don't score as many goals
Baleba - you're better than that. You're misplaced passes are so so sloppy. Fulfill your potential
JP - if you go back to Marbella, we're fining you a weeks wage for every day you are there.
Context is when we’ve had players fit and in form we’ve looked great, but take a substantial spine out of the team, to the extent you don’t have a fit right back or centre back, and those resources are largely keeping the medical staff busy - there’s a context beyond the manager. Even if we lose our remaining games, can’t see TB pulling the trigger, there has been enough positive moments to go into the summer. But the context for this manager over other managers is different Bold. He lost 10 on the bounce. 2 of the 12 game losing streak were under Coppell. Coppell’s were both memorable games. It's bugging me. Who was the Hinshelwood that lost 12 on the bounce before we sacked him for Stevie Coppell's got VD?
There’s no point doing anything now. End of the season there should be a shaking of the hands and ‘sorry it hasn’t worked out’.
