There's no logic in giving him the rest of the season, then binning him. You either get rid now, and hope for some sort of reaction (and some points) in the next 5 matches. That's not much of a risk, because we don't look like getting any more points as things stand.

Or you give him a 2nd season and hope he'll rediscover winning ways.

I’ve seen a few clips of LR and for me he’d motivate me far more than FH.
Apparently had a big impact as Wayne Rooney’s assistant at Derby, did well at Hull before the ridiculous decision to replace him and now doing really well at Strasbourg.
I think he’s an interesting prospect but I don’t think you can say he did well at Hull, he didn’t make his playoff targets and was criticised for negative football. Great to see him doing excellently in France tho

TB does not do knee jerk and the fact that 50% of this poll don’t want FH out at all suggests to me that we are going to be stuck with him for at least the beginning of next season. Patience may be a virtue…

Bloom takes a huge punt on a young manager, spends bigger than ever before,I don't think he's going to sack him wether we squeak a European spot or not.
Sacking FH would be such a knee jerk option for the club when we've played some lovely football at times.
I'd stick with FH and really get our defence strengthened in the summer, this includes a goalkeeper,as currently Bart doesn't seem to learn from his mistakes distributing the ball.
We've got a decent squad but being captain obvious teams have completely sussed us out.
FH needs to learn another way to grind out results but I've seen enough to think he has the wherewithal to sort it out.
Expectations were high but I'm ok with a mid table finish if that's how it ends up.
I'd stick with him but I'm such a licker it hurts sometimes.

Sorry but the fence I was sitting on has given way. I would now like to see a parting of the ways at the end of the season.
I really don’t think he’s getting anything special out of the players we have, certainly no more than most top flight managers.
I want to see someone with passion on the sideline. I’d also like to see us with a playing identity again.
Won’t throw my toys out of the pram if he is still here next season though but would feel a little disappointed.

Yesterday tipped me from fence to Out as it seems to me he‘s not learning at all, just continuing with the same madness in set up game after game. I see zero positives at the moment. Reading between the lines it seems Welbeck is very frustrated too, which is a worry.

It’s all very well saying give him time but I suggest he has had the chance to rethink his tactics but refuses to adapt them

If there is not a big change in the way we play and some on pitch harmony happening I will want him gone and not given another go next season.

I’m almost certain that FH will start next season as our head coach, we don’t tend to make knee-jerk decisions, and it’s one of the club’s strong points.

I agree that we do need to start seeing some evidence of pragmatism. If all we’ve got are one half-concussed centre back and another carrying an injury, neither of whom are the fastest, it seems self-evident (from here) that setting up on the halfway line would not be the way to go.

If we give FH anything less than two full seasons, we shouldn’t have hired him in the first place. If we weren’t willing to give him the time that was obviously going to be needed from before he even signed the contract, why waste his and our time?

I still want FH to come good, I don’t know if he will, but I want to see how he approaches the remaining matches this season, and the start of next season. At no point did I expect him to be the finished article this season. I don’t expect him to be the finished article next season, but if we’re going to hire young unproven coaches, then we’re all being asked by the club to suck up getting schooled by some wily old foxes who’ve been honing their game at this level for years. That’s (unfortunately) part of the learning.

Balancing that desire to develop people, with a fan base who just want to see their team win football matches is a tough balancing act.

I’d be un fussed to see him go tomorrow, we have 5 games to go and we could bounce back with or without Fab. Too many re-occurring themes every game, and it doesn’t look like he’s learning from his mistakes. I feel like we are back in December trying to arrest a run of poor form, there isn’t enough time to do that. Whatever went wrong in December we need to find a way to stop that rot from before. There needs to actually be a reaction and I’m not seeing inspiration and desire from the bench and on the pitch either way.

He won’t get sacked. TB will have known all along this was a bit of a punt and an ‘intro’ season for a very green manager with a very young squad. Add in the injuries and around 10th will be seen as acceptable. I think he’ll get a full pre-season, hopefully defensive reinforcements and then probably until Christmas to show he’s learning.

Maybe clutching at straws and a slightly muted defence of FH but we don't know if part of the grand plan in last summers transfer window was to sort out the wings and midfield, with the defence having a major over hall this summer with a new right back and centre back coming in. Clearly the current lack of pace is crippling us at the back. There's not many mangers who take over a side and get results after one season Nuno Santo being a notable exception, even Slot inherited a great side from Klopp and added the icing. I will wait for the summer window and pass judgement around Christmas 25
