Look at the 1st goal Saturday, what on earth is he doing in that position? Until this season I don’t think I’ve ever seen Dunk push up like that before. Once we lost the ball he was f***ed. From his starting position even Van Der Ven isn’t getting back. It’s on the YTS manager, all of it.
That was my thought too. Wasn’t Dunk in Brentford’s centre D when they broke? I know it may not be attractive football but with us seeming to be very easy to score against recently, I thought it was time for a low block formation and counter on the break this weekend.

Yep, we’re defending like that in the EIGHTH MINUTE away from home. The guy hasn’t got a clue. It was a similar set up to Chelsea away, I thought he’d learnt, he hasn’t.

The first half away at Chelsea was the most bonkers half I think I have ever seen live. It felt a bit like the first week of school when the PE teacher would let you do what you like to see who was good enough for the first team each year. (Which I never was!).

Solid performance tonight.

Now he's working towards match fitness - he's putting in a decent shift again. Some outstanding blocks and an all-round solid performance.

...or should he still be retiring, you absolute muppets who wanted that?
If he didn’t have to cover for Estupinan so much his life would be so much easier.

Was great today.

As a few have mentioned in this thread and following on from Greers comments, next season I expect to see a more consistently solid Dunk. Match Fitness and constant changes to the system along with injuries have cost him more than most. The constant scapegoating of one of our finest players (ever) has been shameful.

I thought Lewis was decent today too. We dropped off today and it helped him massively. It’s what he is good at.
Not sure why you ruined your post by being rude to other posters though…

They deserve it. Why is it OK for them to be rude about Lewis Dunk, one of the greatest Albion legends, by saying he's past it, not good enough anymore, that he should retire, and some far more offensive things in that vain (just read the most recent pages on this thread), just because he's been rushed back into the team in a crisis before he's fully match fit.

Some of our fans are morons. Mostly I don't mind this, football fans are morons in general, but when they start unfairly berating our players, especially our club legends, they absolutely deserve to be pulled up on it.

I have similar thoughts about Lewis as you do as evidenced by my previous comments in this thread.
People are entitled to their own opinion though… this is after all a fans forum and whether I/we agree or not, it should not result in insults

I will put my hands in the air for posting in the week that the data/stats are damming in respect of games where Lewis has started and he's had a rough patch for various reasons, but today I thought he was back to his old self.

Just shows that people should be judged over a season ;)

He was in a dreadful position for that but you obviously paid zero attention to our defending last season: RDZ tasked our CBs with man-marking opponents and you'd frequently see either Dunk or JPVH as one of the players highest up the pitch.

Just far enough away from LDC
I've been saying consistently that Dunk wasn't finished at this level but couldn't play the high line. Apart from 15 mind after west ham scored their 1st , we didn't play such a high line. And he looked far far better because of it
