For me it’s nothing to do with morality. I was as p1ssed off when losing any game in Div 4 as I was at losing at Brentford yesterday - if it’s in your blood…..

When We Are Brighton called out Man City’s owners that was morally right.

The club feigning embarrassment, rather than acknowledging the clear facts of the matter & free speech, was wrong. Calling it racist was legally wrong too.

I don’t struggle with my own morals but I do with football at the top level. The example above identifies why.

I’ve always got the hump when we lose, and thought we were the bees knees when we win.

I’ve also got pretty shitty when we have a run of crap results and performances, and I’ve basked in the reflected glory when we go on a run of wins.

Who the owner is, what division we’re in, who the manager is, it’s the same.

f*** off with terms like entitlement, bad fan, good fan, JCL, it’s how I feel right now, and how other Fans feel right now, and that’s a personal perspective.

My personal feeling, and this is just mine and I'm not casting aspersions at those who feel differently, is that we have achieved everything we fought for, and more, I still marvel at where we are and love it when we win....but am sanguine when we don't.

I’d have a problem with that aspect if premier league players were paid out of the public purse. Fact is that most of this money comes from abroad with them being paid by a combo of foreign billionaires and TV viewers, and nearly half their salary goes to the taxman, not to mention the 15% employer’s NI on top of that.

Premier league players’ taxes probably contribute about 2 billion to HMRC a year.

Nothing entitled about wanting our team to play as well as we know they are capable of.

Nothing entitled about being pissed off by poor performances.

Entitlement to think that we should be qualifying for Europe in our first season under a new manager, and a very new squad.

Entitlement to think that just because we've qualified for Europe once that, with the level of investment in the team also, means we should now qualify for Europe every season or else the manager has to go.

I'm more than happy not to be in Europe if I thought we were getting the best out of what we had.

In the same way as I would fear a season in Europe if we qualified under the same circumstances of not being at our best and sneaking in

I find it funny that we expect our fans not to moan and keep calling it entitled for some reason.

All fans moan. A central part of supporting any team is moaning about some aspect of something, even in the good times human nature means we whinge about something.

I think the fact football costs so much these days adds a lot to it tbf, if you are spending a hundred or so quid, then looking like a poor team that’s not been coached all season is very much going to aggravate things.

I do think calling fans entitled is unfair and inaccurate. I don’t think there’s much wrong in being unhappy when performances have been as poor as they have and I don’t see them as expecting anything unreasonable.

It’s the degree of moaning and the vitriol within it that’s the distinguishing factor for me. On a scale of 1-10 some of us move emotionally on a range of 1-10 (sometimes within the same game), some of us rarely go below a 5.

True, but that wealth is significant and still being used to finance a football match and not a ventilator. If it’s alright, I’ll still retain my disdain for what we ‘value’ despite the point you make on the ‘sums’.

Whether nation states which dismember journalists should be allowed to own historic community football clubs is a moral quandary. Whether or not it's "entitled" to feel we "should" be playing better than we currently are is...well...I don't know what it is but it isn't a moral question.

It’s very seldom that I come away from a loss feeling happy, but give it a few hours, maybe a day or so and I’m looking forward to the next game. I don’t think that’s out of the ordinary. It wouldn’t matter if we were in the fourth division or the first I’d still be the same. Disappointment and happiness are different sides of the same coin.

I think for most fans its nothing to do with entitlement its frustration , knowing just a few bad results are keeping us out of CL positions and knowing that this year is a freak year when two of the top 6 are nowhere to be seen and so the race is was more open and that might not be the same next year or indeed thereafter.

It has also become wrong to be critical of things you see which you disagree with i.e. you are not a true supporter and don't know what happened 25+ years ago. Well let's be clear the only way you improve is to analyse performance and review even small mistakes. But then people say the manager knows better , well to be honest that's generally true but even great manager's don't get it right every time.

When we were going through our really tough days I just wanted to get back to all the unreasonableness, irrationality and inconsistency that you can experience and display as a normal football fan but not in other parts of life. Not sure about it being a question of morality though as there will always be clear rules about how to treat people.
