If NSC is going to give air to the Fab out thread, then I think our young manager in his first season deserves a Fab IN thread.
He's had to do a lot of juggling with the number of injuries the squad have suffered.

It was a great point at Villa with a real fighting spirit in evidence, with the players pushing for a winner until the end.
He's doing a good job after only half a season in a new country and in a new league.

It’s far too early to judge him. In spells this season in most games we have been very good. If it clicks over 90 minutes consistently we will string a series of wins together.

It takes time to build a team and get it to gel. So many pieces of the jigsaw have been injured. (To me Hinch Welbeck and Ferdi are essential).

Overall he should be happy with where we are at and I hope he gets some luck soon in the pitch and off the pitch with injuries.

really good to see a spirited performance tonight. i was a bit worried after we conceded as i saw the body language go awry and was worried their heads may have dropped again. but they showed character which was really good, even though villa probably should have won it at the end. we know the defence is a massive issue and that will have to be solved in the transfer market. what would be nice to see now is for them to show that the point tonight has really stopped the rot, and we go and give arsenal a really good game. they are far from unbeatable, especially considering we’ve given liverpool a close couple of games this season

Damn straight!!

When he first came in and we were getting results against good sides it was all "De Her in with a Plan B" run of bad results (like De Zerbi had second half of last year) and he's not good enough. Grow up! Realise that this is a transition year and enjoy what is to come.
Like a lot of our signings, Fabian wasn't brought in to win the league this season. He (IMO) was brought in, along with a lot of the summer signings, to consolidate this season with a view to progressing next season and beyond. This season top ha;f will be good, Europe would be outstanding.

I think he has done pretty well so far, some great results, some not so great, but we have not been out of the top half, with half the season gone so for me FAB IN

Everyone forgets half the team is injured.

And the other half of the team is about 20 years old and new to the team/league/country.

Give the poor guy a bit of time.

Think forest would be where they are with Chris Wood injured? Remember how shit Chelsea were when they had a whole new team to gel together?

2nd half of the season we'll start to see a bit more of what we're about.

also, i know the wolves and leicester results were in no way positive, but thinking of it in terms of our season, they were total freak incidents (yes, completely our own fault) but were it not for them we’d be 6th or 7th. so not bad at all. just need to get a win somewhere now

Well said. Halfway through the season, still in the top 10. Of course, we can improve, but we’re coping with injuries, inexperienced players, and with a manager new to the PL.
Enjoy the rollercoaster and stop whinging.

Finally a sensible post without any aid from Tena!

Nah, I'm not having it.

The gospel according to NSC has told me that:

Pedro isn't interested
Fab has had a bust-up with Welbz
Enciso wants out
Fergie wants out
Dunk is past it
Bart is not very good
Mitoma has gone backwards
There's no midfield
Beleba isn't fit to tie Caicedo's boots
League One Lamptey should be nowhere near the squad
Ayari is pony
The defence is shit
Fab doesn't have a plan B
He's too young
He's too inexperienced
He's too German

Basically, I've effectively read that he's completely lost the dressing room and he should fack off back to where he came from - and take the £200m worth of dross that arrived in the summer with him.

Give it big Sam until the end of the season

Like some of our signings, very promising…..

Early days for everyone.
Except early days don’t really exist in PL football. If he’s good he’ll go elsewhere. If he’s bad he’ll be told to go elsewhere. I’d rather he’s the former so we can at least enjoy winning a few games before the inevitable call from The Bridge.
