Hi all - just after some guidance/potential costs for the following please:
We live in a 1930s property in Patcham, and the stairs are very, very creaky. We're looking to replace the carpet on it following some replastering and decorating work we've had done in the house, but if it is straightforward enough and not a king's ransom, it would be great to have decent, quiet stairs. There's also a couple of annoying squeaky bits on the landing too.
In finest NSC style I know it is a classic "five minute job" but what roughly would we be looking at in terms of time and cost? Would it mean the stairs are replaced, or is it something that is fixed by screws/glue on the existing steps etc., I believe potentially from underneath? There's a cupboard under the stairs, so a reasonable number of the steps are accessible.
Thanks in advance!
