To be fair, despite the win due to a wonder goal, we looked tactically inept, defensively lost. Their second goal the defence might as well let them walk it in - oh, they did

Our pace looks as fast as a disabled slug. FH's subs are very questionable as well - why take March off when he was one of the players actually looking keen and creating chances. FB should have played March and Mitoma together but on opposite wings.

Just think FB is not experienced enough for the PL. Just bored of watching us throw away leads because we don't have the ability to shut out a game.
Absolute nonsense. March was totally done by the time he was substituted. Subs changed game and we bloody won!

Why do so many people hate Potter? Yes we had two very frustrating seasons during Covid under him, but he got us a top half finish in his last full season and then as he left he had laid the foundations for De Zerbi to take us to new heights. Was a comedy disaster at Chelsea and looking like the sequel at West Ham. Not like he left the club in a bad state and talked badly about us.
Because they can’t grasp that the loyalty they demand from somebody who had no connection with our job before joining us is unrealistic. Fine, I can understand why emotions ran so high in the aftermath of his departure (particularly with the way he took so much of our backroom staff with him) but holding onto that grudge two or three years later when we went onto qualify for Europe and he lost his job is verging on the pathological! Having done the double over Chelsea that season and finishing above them in 6th any rancour I had dissipate.

They’ll be mid table next season, I’d imagine. There’s a very decent side there.

We weren't in a 'bad state' - but we could have been bearing in mind when/how he left and who he took with him.

He didn't exactly talk 'nicely' about us. And went on to say that if he had wanted an easy life he would have stayed with us.

And there you have it.

3:2

Hope that silences the meltdown from posters above.
Brilliant winner but that covers up some pathetic defending.
This needs to be addressed in the summer.
WE DO NOT NEED ANY WINGERS OR ATTACKING MIDFIELDERS!

I agree we were overall poor again today and our defending/keeping is a joke - I still can’t believe their first goal - but I’m trying not to focus on that and just revel in the genius of Carlos Baleba! Where we’d be this season without him I dread to think!

March was knackered - he had to come off.
If our defending is bad, what does that make West Ham’s ? 😳

Ignoring the result it was a lot better than the last home game. For a while I thought we'd play better and lose, but the last five minutes gave us what we deserved, for once. And at least now we've beaten one of the bottom four at home...

That first West Ham goal was awful, though. A lot of work to do there.

Yeah just watche dthe highlights,

Both of their goals are hilariously poorly defended.
The pass for the first goes past 3 defenders who do not react to the danger.
The second, is an uncjhallenged (brilliant) cross, with 3 unmarked attackers queueing up to put it away.

But let's get a grip here...all he got was a short boo at the end. Oh dear, what a shame, never mind; all part of the pantomime. He still ives happily in Hove with his family because he doesn't get any hassle from local people.
