I see a man on the brink, for whatever reasons, and it's not pretty. I may well be being hoodwinked by him, but if not, I can only feel sympathy.
Think 'When a Blindman Cries'.
I’m sure he’ll be fine… genuinely.

Nice Purps ref, although I’m thinking more along the lines of You Fool No One …

I thought the West Ham fans were a disgrace singing the "The German's right" song after just 20 mins, and I bet that hurts him.

Yes, I don't recall any interview like that when he was with us. I wouldn't say he was broken but coming back to Brighton where he lives and used to work and losing in that manner, then walking off the pitch to Albion fans booing him and giving him the finger is hard to take.

I feel weirdly dispassionate and unattached by that interview. He sold his soul to the devil and is paying the price.

That Graham Potter checklist:

  • Clapping with hands above head when player does something right (whether basic or skilful)
  • Animated conversation with at least one member of coaching staff for minimum of 3 minutes, resulting in absolutely no discernible improvement
  • Sitting down increases as match goes on (Emma Freud’s behaving themselves)
  • Marches down tunnel with soulless expression
  • Sucks teeth during interview and emphasises positives

Don’t go changing, GP.

Except he made it clear he REALLY didn’t want to talk about the positives!

Why? It’s no different to Bloom making a decision to terminate Hughton’s tenure. Potter leaving was right for him at the time. Hughton leaving despite everything he had achieved was right for us as a club.
One massive difference, TB waited until the end of the season, and even let him have his staying up celebration. He didn't f*ck him or the squad over during the season.

It always surprises me when multi millionaires can be bothered to get so worked up about something like football.
Admirable , in a way
For a meaningless (for them) game too.
