    Train farce

Its been said about 3 times now that it is where it is so it doesnt affect the junction ahead of that line, so it cant be moved. Extending the Lewes platform cant happen either.

E-Mail address or what i actually said (which was basically why didnt it stop, which left hundreds of people on a platform which were shoved onto a train less that half the size of the failure to stop train) ?

More that Boris didnt like them - i thought they were perfect for London myself. The Argus quoted Southern, saying basically, the driver f***ed up. I think most of us had sussed that. The ongoing saga of people being trapped on the trains at Lewes was mentioned. Allegedly the guard couldn't...

Only things they could of done would of been to get staff near the train doors (easier said than done with the people all crowding to get on) or take people off the platform (and you can guess what reaction that would cause) - staff couldnt of realistically done anything to prevent it. Oh, and...

Exactly, you are going to get pushed a bit on a packed train, if you dont want that, then dont get a train

And we never will have double decker trains as the current railway will have to be totally upgraded including every single bridge, tunnel and a lot of stations. Of course this is the governments problem. HS2 might even be under construction already if there wasnt so many people against it. With...

Want to fund the millions of pounds it will cost to pay for it and on top of that the cost of the extra electric trains to run on the line ? And then theres all the replacement transport you would need to pay for whilst the work is happening. Its very expensive to do - will happen eventually though.

Oh those trains, yeah thats a bike area. Those 3 car trains are used a fair bit on matchdays (usually 6 car at weekends).

Love to know how that could happen with absolutely nothing to power the electric trains - only the 2-car diesel trains can go down there. You seem to be on about First Class - can be used by anyone for the football games due to the amount of people on the trains.

    Train farce

I think there are thousands of worse situations you can be in than a bundle for a train myself - of course im not saying its a good thing and its clearly caused by a load of impatient fcuks. Hopefully it wont happen again next week. Wrong point in the match posted - meant full-time of course...

Yeah, first time i think thats happened with a train failing to stop, occasionally happens across the country for whatever reason - if it keeps happening - then you have a problem. And i forgot that way, would save about 10 minutes probably as well.

Saw about that too, pretty sad - line and station had reopened about an hour after it happened so it does show Southern and Network Rail can get things right when they try.

    1) Buses do operate to Falmer Station but not from Brighton station, would have to walk from Brighton station down to Churchill Square and catch a 25/28/29, same for the return. 2) Yes, i go towards Lewes on the way home and only usually wait about 15 minutes, leaving at kick-off should get you...

    Train farce

Lots of exaggerations on this topic and 1 poster saying the conditions were "the worst in humanity" or something like that - really ???? Ive said it before and ill say it again - there arent enough coaches to add to trains to evening kick-offs that are already being added, all down to being...

Wouldnt lose their job over it, but if they have "forgot" to stop they will get a monumental bollocking. Wouldnt surprise me if there is a reason behind it not stopping, which obviously wasnt said.

    Train farce

Should point out for evening games, there are NO extra coaches (except for a few after the match) as the coaches usually used for the weekend games are being used on weekday peak trains, mostly to/from London. Cant get any extra coaches from anywhere. Rather than the train lengths, its the...

    Train farce

It did stop, they just made YET ANOTHER cock-up by saying Lewes wasnt a short platform - this keeps happening and nothing changes. Reading fans didnt help them self as they gave the only Southern staff member on Polegate station quite a bit of abuse.
