The three teams that finished 18th in the past 3 years should be suing them for lost TV funds, plus anyone that finished below them that didn't go down for loss of prize money. I don't think it's fair they then get a points deduction for having to pay out.

They tried to ignore the league and not cooperate whilst being aggressive. Thinking they would get away with it like they did with UEFA, I'm assuming they thought the charges would time out. Seeing they refused to cooperate, that should be automatic relegation as a starting point.

You are assuming the players would stay, the Championship/League 1 isn't as easy to escape as Scottish nobody leagues They wouldn't be in Europe either.

They only got away with it as the charges timed out with UEFA, no such rule in the PL.

They do, if FFP fails we are in a world where there is no limit on spend, it's a bigger issue than just a couple of teams being relegated

I personally think the PL want rid of City for what ever reason, same as UEFA. Shows how bad the league is 9 games in and being on -5 isn't a death sentence.

I'm sure someone will know more, but I'm not sure they are able to get lawyers to involved. It's a private members club, the decisions of the PL is as far as it can go

Looks like they are going to be hit with a 12 point deduction for breaking FFP If there is a season to take the hit it's this one, the bottom 5 are awful. Can't be long till City announcement?
