I once travelled to Preston to see the unstoppable Peter Ward.Now,we had cold winters in those days,and it was brass monkeys,and Wardy was injured and I don't think he even travelled with the team.............and we lost.Rugger it.But I'd travel anywhere to see him in an "Albion" game again,the rest of 'em,....a small bonus,and the Reading game a mere bagatelle!
