If certain conditions are achieved the Albion could receive up to £58.4 million in add on fees from player sales in recent years. One of those conditions *could* be Liverpool winning the Premier League following the sale of Macca. If so some of the contingent asset could be heading south.

Equally Arsenal winning the CL could result in add ons from sale of Trossard and White in terms of the £58m

Aside from the finances involved, he's becoming a bit of a football legend.

World Cup winner. Now Premier League winner, with a goal in the title winning match.

Unlike a majority of those departing, he left the club on good terms and we would all love him back here one day.

Knowing that he could be earning the club more money just adds further merit to his time at the club, not that it needs it.

And an integral player, possibly the integral player, gaining legendary status at two (English clubs) in double quick time.

Watched a bit of the game today and he was immense.

i personally think he is the best midfielder in the league ( and with Argentina, the world) and to think we had a decent part in his development.

i still think for the short time he was here, he can be called a legend!

one of the best players we have ever had and probably will ever have.

Max payable is £563,83,000 …I wonder what Albion achievements trigger these pay outs?

Hopefully league position is relatively unrealistic. It would be crap to finish 8th and have to cough up a load of dollar.

Didn’t Naylor say the targets for add ons were relatively easy to achieve. If so then surely they have been triggered! I can’t imagine winning champs league would be called easy to achieve.

Fantastic player. But also extremely likeable, which is unusual in modern football. Would absolutely love him to come back and finish his career here in 10 years time.

BUT - won the World Cup when playing for Brighton & Hove Albion.
Stands a reasonable chance of being the most decorated ex-Albion player. He’s won the two main international trophies he can win and he’s got two club league titles to his name. If Liverpool have a good run over the next few years he’ll do it.

Tall order after Lawro. Except the small matter of a WC.

I think you may well be right in that we have had the pleasure of seeing the Albion's greatest ever player and the greatest ever player to have played for the Albion over the last few years

(Unless Jack and Carlos think otherwise )

Three more league titles and a CL will definitely do it. As I say, it needs Liverpool to have a good period over the next few years.

Lawrenson had 10 major trophies. 5 English league titles, 3 League Cups, 1 Fa Cup and 1 European Cup.

Alexis already has 2 League titles (1 each in Argentina and England), a League Cup, a Copa America and a World Cup, that’s 5 major trophies already.

Alexis could run Lawro close.

3 more league titles and a CL and he’ll be the GOAT ex-Albion imho. I’m not too fused about the league and FA cups.
