Good effort.

It takes practice- I must have done dozens of the archived puzzles before I even started getting my head around the kind of connections they use.

Purple are supposed to be the hardest, then blue, then green and finally yellow the easiest.

I have found Purple Connections use a lot of palindromes, sometimes anagrams, very often there’s a word that connects the four words. Blue is often general knowledge, Americanisms ( NBA/NFL teams, rappers, States etc), yellow are often synonyms and green often verbs/play on words.

Beware red herrings - often there’s more than 4 words that appear to be connected and could fit into more than one group (with these I tend to leave them and go back to them after the other groups.)

(also very often I don’t get the final 4 but have got there because I found the other three!)

That's interesting. Yesterday, I did it on easiest to most difficult order. Today was (almost) the opposite.

I noticed that - Sometimes I get the purple first.
