can you not just buy a ticket on the day ( or collect on the day) As a STH I assume I dont have to register for anything?

excellent.

i never really understood why i was charged a booking fee when all they did was to load my ST with the game.

Must have cost them a lot to do that.

I can't be the only person for which all of this has past them by.

I'm a S/T holder, I sure as hell not going to be joining any other gang on top of that outlay.

I've just signed up for the Gold Membership, I'll go to all the Cup games anyway so I don't see the downside. Just to clarify, will I get a new ST Card as a result of this change? I'd be surprised if we wasted money like that, but I'm curious to see if anyone knows.

Wasn't going to bother with the away ST but the "no booking fee" (should save me about a bullseye a season) has swung it for me.
I'm IN.

Ok I am really confused now....do sth get a chance to buy their ticket for cup games before they are offered to the platinum/ gold/ plastic brigade?

Ie is it the same as it always was and this is really for people wanting to go away.....I want to go to reading...do I have to become a member to get a ticket then?

Sorry just seen the post above asking the same question

I don't get this scheme either... more woeful club comms (and looks to be live on the ticketing site)

I go to all games ... home and away. However the people that I will go with will vary each games.

Is this platinum fans thing only for sad people like me who should get out more who only go to games with sad friends who should get out more?
or is there a way I can get my platinum ticket with other members...gold and silver etc...

As far as I can tell, the Gold membership is just a way of automatically getting a ticket to every home cup match without having to book it in the first place. It is simply a season ticket that includes home cup games. If we're drawn at home, you automatically get your usual seat and the payment is automatically taken from your chosen payment method. As far as I can tell it does not cost you to join up if you are a ST holder. What's confusing about that?

It's bizarre - you can proceed all the way to payment for Platinum and Gold but at no point does it tell you how much you are going to be charged.

Surely it's free? Aren't you getting the"extras" for committing to buy all the cup or cup/away tickets?

Since prices are listed for the 3 non-ST holders schemes and not for the ST holders schemes, that leads me to believe they are free. I shall go and find the Barber statement from when he announced it. I seem to recall him saying it would be free to ST holders in that. Don't quote me on it though. I may be pedantic but I am also fallible.
