...did anyone from the right, left or centre ever work out why Mars Bar starts every word in a sentance with a capital letter?

Yes.

Amongst the other drivel and claptrap he spouts out,.................

He supports capital punishment.

Obviously.

If Labour were serious about winning the Crewe byelection, their candidate would be campaigning with a simple slogan ...

"Vote for me and I'll be a thorn in the government's side, just like my mum was".

You're weird Bars Mar

and I'm not having a pop, but, why do you start every word with a capital? I would genuinely like to know.

I don't think he/she will provide us with a reason, it is probably down to some sort of psychiatric condition or a character disorder...in fact the second of those choices is the more plausible, given the symptoms.

Isn't it down to them having caps lock on? I thought that was what someone said a while ago.

Really....i just enjoy winding you up :laugh::laugh:

FWIW, i totally agree with you, hope labour get stuffed on thursday, i'll never vote for them again...although i don't know if i can see a better alternative in the tories.

The proud working class have been truly shafted by this gov't

Quick Question. Who Plotted The Points On That Graph Because I Bet You Anything You Like That Gordon Brown, John Hutton Even Harriet Harman And Jack Straw Certainly Wouldn't Plot Labour Or Even The Tories That Far Right.

When this link works Bars Mar have a look at it, I think it is where Tureinzo's Love Child got the graph from:

socialism
• noun a political and economic theory of social organisation which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.

Bars Mar please tell me if you honestly think that this New Labour Government has anything remotely socialist about it after reading the above Oxford English Dictionary definition.

I just find it funny that there's a load of muppets vehemently anti-Labour, despite that party being the only one that is trying (albeit f***ing up spectacularly sometimes) to safeguard a decent set of minimum rights that the population as a whole can expect. It's all about common decency and dignity. With the Tories, you'll get a 'Greed Is Good' manifesto, with the BNP you'll get a 'White And Stupid Is Good' manifesto. Labour aren't perfect by a long shot, but their heart is in the right place. You wanna swim with SHARKS instead? Great, go for it! But you'd better not fall on hard times. And if you do, don't come whining when they cut you off at the knees.

The trouble is Tom and I'm a traditional Labour supporter, with policies that aren't far different from the Tories is there much choice anymore?
I am starting to feel very alienated, the only positive things I can think about New Labour in the past eleven years is the the minimum wage, Northern Ireland being sorted out after Major made a good start and Railtrack being taken back under the governments wing.

What are these "minimum rights" you talk about ?

If you're talking about criminals....anyone who breaks the law loses their "minimum/human rights" in a nano second

Labour aren't perfect by a long shot, but their heart is in the right place.

Oh that's ok then.....let's cuddle up to a warm, squidgy labour gov't whilst the f***ing country is brought to it's knees.

I know what you're saying mate, but the sad truth is that Labour have to tread lightly. There's a shitload of middle-class middle-England swing voters that have to be molly-coddled into thinking that Labour aren't a bunch of Raping, Looting and Pillaging Rangers Fans. Tony B.Liar managed to smarmily convince them that he was one of them. Gordon Brown can't do that. He's from a different planet. Maybe Labour WILL go down at the next election, but that'd be a shame for the people who need somebody sticking up for them.

I don't hate the Tories. They are what they are. But I utterly despise the Lib Dems for their pitiful failure to offer anything new or different at all. They should disband. Tomorrow. Starting with Lewes. Pathetic.

How Do You Make That Leap Then?

Perhaps You Can't Read Properly. Who Plotted The Graph? I Bet You Any Money You Like That Labour MPs And Activists Would Not Put Themselves There Neither Would Tories Place Themselves So Far To The Right Economically.

And What Kind Of Wally Plots The Tories Who Oppose ID Cards And Support The Concept Of Double Jeopardy To Be More Authoritarian Than Labour Who Want ID Cards And Want To Throw Out The Idea Of Universal Right To Trial By Jury And Also Talked About Removing The Protection of Double Jeopardy?

This Government Has Brought In More Laws Than Any Other And Yet Are Less Authoritarian? What A Crock Of Shit.

Yes. We Have A Bigger Public Sector Than Ever Before, We Have A Government Absolutely Committed To Tax And Spend Policies And We Have A Government Determined To Regulate Business And The Electorate Into Submission.

Funny How In That Recent General Election Poll The Tories Came Out Streets Ahead Yet You Lefties Are The Noisiest On This Board When It Comes To Politics. You Got The London Elections Wrong, Your Views Are Not Representative Of This Board Let Alone The Country So Quite Frankly What Makes You Think You're So Right And Everybody Else Is Wrong?

I'm No Fan Of The Tories, Lib Dems or Greens But Am Sick To The Back Teeth Of Lefties Moaning About This Government. You Voted For It. It's Full Of People Claiming To Be Socialists, It's Clueless About The Economy, It's Clueless About World Affairs, It's Clueless About How To Make This Country Safer, Cleaner, Fairer.

And Then You Get Twats Like THPP Who Absolutely Refuse To Acknowledge His Party Are Full Of Shits. "Oh, Never Mind Them Playing The Race Card. At Least They're Not Like Those Nasty Toff Tories Blah Blah Blah." And Woe Betide Anyone Who Says They Are Considering Rejecting The Current System In Favour Of A Party Like The BNP Which Might Want To Engage In Discussing The Fears And Concerns Of The British Working Class. Oh No. We're Supposed To Be Good Little Puppies And Do What Uncle Tom Says And Vote For Labour Because Apparently They Care. What Patronising Bollocks.

Labour don't play the race card. They're warning of right-wing parties playing the race card. Different thing completely.

And if you vote BNP, sorry, but you are a moron. How come successive waves of immigrants can come here and make a go of it? Cos they put in the graft. Brighton's New England Quarter is being built by healthy, hard-working Poles while the natural-born ferals scuttle about down in London Road, thieving out of Poundstretcher. OK, bit of a generalisation, but not all that much. To get back to my original point: if you vote BNP, sorry, but you are a moron. No offence

Labour don't play the race card.

Compare And Contrast With Andrew Rawnsley: Labour has been playing the race card in a poisonous way.

Now Who Are We To Believe? Arguably Britain's Leading Political Commentator, One Time Labour Activist Himself, Writing In Britain's Leading Left Of Centre Broadsheet. (Remember Folks - Andrew Does This For A Living. Finger On The Pulse And All That) Or....

THPP Who Just Posts Apologist Shit That Even Alistair Campbell Would Be Embarrassed To Put His Name To? Perhaps There Ought To Be A Poll?

Quick Bit Of Editing There From You. You Were Quite Rightly Taken To Task Over It. I Believe It Was Arrogantly Implying Those From the 'Burbs Were Idiots For Voting Tory. Nowadays In 2008, You Use More Subtle Language. You Call Them Naive. Same Meaning. Same Implication. Can't Seem To Find The Thread At The Moment But Then Again It Was Back When I Was A Lurker.

I hardly mentioned an opinion on Labour losing control. I mentioned my worries about the Tories gaining power.

And I wasn't calling Tory voters naive - that's another debate. I was calling YOU naive.
