Bakayoka on trial at Millwall

Also, Wilkins's approach to managing the youth team was always to ensure that players were comfortable playing in different positions - so none of this should be new to any of the youngsters.
Absolutely right - didn't two that were taken on, Fraser and Fogden, play both in midfield and defence all the time?

until the board ie..KNIGHT backs him up and gives him some money we wont sign f*** all...Give him a chance..

Obviously there isn't a fortune available to spend, but the money was in place to sign Dichio, so must still be there - it's more to do with the fact that no-one will sign for McGhee.

I wouldn't say that, you could say the same about Ronnie Jepson at Gillingham, he's bemoaning the fact that he can't sign players too.

isn't he the same age as sam rents?

doesn't he have similar experiance?

why is he necessarily any better?

why pay for his relocation costs?

why pay him, presumably, more than rents?

Very true, Tommy!   I think we have adequate cover, so it would not be worth signing Bagayoko, unless he was a talent which may be a good investment.

theirry henry is not a forward. (only one of the best in the world) but really he is a winger. if players are good enough and adaptable then use that to our advantage. well done mcghee.

What a bizarre and paranoid conspiracy theory.

Mark Bentley - Key part of Southend's promotion from this division last season, good midfield passer.

Clint Easton - Not sure about this one, almost ever present for Wycombe last season, once a £100,000 buy for Norwich.

Kelvin Jack - Been there done that.

Duncan Jupp - Another key part of Southend's promotion last season, solid experienced defender.

Dean McDonald - Never heard of him.

Guylain Ndumbu-Nsungu - six foot striker that has scored 21 goals in 45 starts for both Darlington & Sheff Wed.

Bentley, Jupp & Ndumbu-Nsungu would have improved our squad without doubt.

Bentley, Jupp

Why do you think Southend got rid then if they were so key to their success?

Because perhaps they are like Mark McCammon... Good in league one (hence their promotion) but not thought good enough for the CCC... Which incase it slipped your mind we aren't in anymore... Only a 'pure dumb' person as you like to say would turn their noses up at two players that played 30+ games each in a promotion winning side from the same division as we are now in.

However, the argument is pretty pointless as we cannot compete with Gillingham and wouldn't have got them anyway.

An awful lot more suited to being a centre-back, though.

How do you know? He looked one of our best players at LB so if he is so much more suited at CB why was he not played there because that suggests he was far and away the best centre back at the club. And please don't anybody say 'I'm surprised MM didn't play him in goal', its not big and its not clever.
