2-1 down. Bitter end of the match looming. Big Bart spotted a West Ham weakness and frantically signalled to FAB. Repeatedly signalled to his boss to swap the wingers. FAB to his credit, took it on board and instructed Mitoma and Minteh to swap wings. They duly did so. Soon after, Minteh started a move down the left, passed inside to Gomez who flicked the ball to Gruda to head across to Mitoma to head home on the right side of goal. The rest is history. Obviously Baleba went totally off piste with his wonder goal to win it, but it made it's way to Minteh first from the short corner, who fired in a scorcher from the left that their keeper could only parry. It went wide to I think Gruda to lay it back to Baleba. Bart's smart thinking started it all, by switching Minteh to the left and Mitoma towards the right.

Just saying that Bart spotted that swapping the wingers could capitalise on a weakness at their right back. FAB made the change, Minteh started both goals from the left and I'm saying give Bart the credit for spotting it. No other whataboutary. Give credit where credit is due. Without the change, we would have lost.

Likes to let them through his legs does Bart. Today's reminded me of when I helped at an old man's cricket match & an old duffer couldn't do the long barrier

Maybe, but that's off topic. I'm talking about a bit of smart thinking that changed the game, not his actual performance.

I didn't see Bart's signal to Fab ... but I did see Fab's hand switching signal to M&M ... which worked a dream, as you say.

This is all a bit of a stretch. Impossible to know if this was what he was communicating or whether this was a switch which was happening anyway

Even if true, Bart probably needs to focus on his primary role a little more. Though to be fair he did make a couple of decent saves yesterday, he surely can't be happy with their first goal

Soucek was a yard out when he scored the second. Bart was routed. Take any reasonable offer in the summer and get Stafford or Ramsdale in.

Guessing the fake shirt craze has reached the players and Bart has got himself a shirt with his name spelt incorrectly.

No it isn't a bit of a stretch. Bart was walking up the pitch and clearly signalling to FAB with his arms and hands to switch the wingers. It was right in front of me. Hurzeler checked with Bart, you could easily read his facial expression and body language and Bart repeated what he wanted with his arms. FAB swapped Minteh to the left and Mitoma moved towards the right. Sorry you didn't see it. Few did. But I saw it and there was no doubt what Bart was signalling because FAB made the change immediately after and Minteh on the right was involved in initiating both goals from his new role on the left and Mitoma scored from the right. My point is that it is true.

I agree. It was obvious what Bart was suggesting and Hurzeler’s reaction
