Would be gutted to lose him, he is one of the top young keepers in the world right now.

Stupid money would soften the blow, as long as we have a decent back up in place.

Would really prefer not to see Steele play in goal for us again.

They are called Rushworth and Beadle.

Excellent no.2 GK, as always. Happy to have him in the squad.

So totting up the rumours, we are losing around 6 or 7 of the first team squad and bringing in upwards of £400m in the summer.

Alternatively all the rumours are just rumours and we do very few transfers in the summer and return with a settled and a tactically astute group and are the top 4 all next season.

1. We sold Bissouma, White and MacAlistair when we planned to
2. We sold Cucurella and Caicedo when we were offered stupid money
3. We sold Sanchez and Trossard when they threw their toys out the pram (although I'm sure Trossard was going that summer anyway)

The only place Bart would fit is no 2, but United for a 22 year old ? With Rushworth and Beadle in the wings it will be a 1.

My biggest worry at the moment is João Pedro not being a number 1 this summer unless he pulls his bloody finger out

Oh FFS no! We're having enough trouble integrating our £200M splosh into the team - the more we try to push them into the team, the worse the results are getting. So far anyway - but earlier in the season all we did was bring in Minteh for Adingra, which didn't make much difference, and we were flying; now though, going through the 'easy six'................ :(
£400M - that would buy relegation!

Bring 'em on, so much to scoff at, a bit to hope for, and all in all a load of harmless fun in the dark days of January!

Surfaced again today with some reports that United have been in touch already.

AC Milan also linked.

Someone will bite. He’s very much a work in progress but good, young goalkeepers get snapped up.

No shade on Bart but I'd certainly rather him get sold over the summer than any of our other key players. Would be nice if we could bring in a keeper with a bit of experience/leadership to help settle the defence a bit.

I'd seriously question the judgement of anyone who'd move to Manchester United though, a toxic club from top to bottom that ruins players and coaches alike.

Maybe they haven’t seen much of him this season? He is not much of an improvement on Onana this season. Very poor on shot stopping.

Best not to focus on on Bart's stats, (They are probably even worse than your graphic suggests as errors leading to goals aren't accounted for). The eye suggests that while he's still very raw for a top level keeper, he's going to be good in a few years.

We're better off being patient, waiting for him to fulfill some of his promise and selling then. The way I see it, if he can do well enough to remain Dutch No1 going into the world cup and he has a half decent tournament, he'll have a significant resale value then. I don't see the point of selling now unless we get a stupid offer

Absolutely, not least because he seems to perform better (or at least more consistently) for the Dutch NT than he does for us.

After a good World Cup he will be worth a lot more. He's got great potential, already has eyes on him, and there's a while left on his contract.

Also it seems that Beadle isn't yet ready to step into the Premier League as his replacement if he leaves.

Hopefully he gets his eyes tested in the summer. He neither sees shots outside the box or his teammates to pass to.
