I think you all know me by now. Outside of Chailey, you won't meet a more positive, glass-half-full kinda guy. And I don't even get paid a retainer by the club. My review of the Palace beamback at The Terrace was unfailingly upbeat and enthusiastic. Apart from...

... if you're paying to attend the equivalent of a movie, I reckon you should be guaranteed a seat, whether you arrive at the venue four hours before kick-off or four minutes before kick-off. That never happened at the Palace beamback. All the seats were reportedly annexed by about 90 minutes before kick-off, and those f*ckers weren't moving for anybody. Somebody's Seat Mate said in a snarky manner. Hopefully lessons have been learned/learnt.

and... RELAX! :smokin:

Hey THPP - it’s me !
You’re not paying though are you. You get a free drink worth more than the price of the ticket.
They are showing a movie - Stand or Fall next week and I think then it’s restricted to smaller numbers so you’ll get a seat.

Apologies as always for setting the Botphone ringing off its hook in Chailey Towers on a public holiday. My bad

Point of order:
It may cost more, doesn't make it worth more!

I jut checked with the person I attended the Palace beamback with to make sure I wasn't mis-remembering, and he like me remembers us noticing that at 1.30pm there were a number of empty tables upstairs in the corner which didn't really start to fill up until just before 2pm.

Speaking of beaming.........................Captain Kirk never said "Beam me up, Scotty"

He did say "Scotty, beam us up." Beam me up" and "Mr. Scott, beam us up"

The Terrace Beamback ticket for today doesn’t have a “add to wallet” option but does have folding instructions. Does that mean I have to print it? EDIT: Just spotted the small print saying it can be saved on your phone and scanned on entry

£25 to watch a TV beam back is awful pricing. No interest whatsoever in watching Womens football. Can you even just turn up for the Mens game on TV or are you forced to watch the Women? Terrible pricing. No wonder people watch illegal streams

I did wonder at that comment. Where's he getting £25 from?
There was a more expensive option to watch in a lounge - bundled with the WSL game.

You ARE forced to watch the women. That's what the stewards are there for. Take your eyes off the game for more than 10 seconds and you lose 50 loyalty points. And NO refunds.

You can watch in the Terrace for £6 or you could have spent £25 to watch the women’s team fixture live and then watch the Brentford beam back in one of the lounges which included food as well I believe.

Let’s not let facts get in the way of a rant though!

Fascinating place some parts are brilliant and some parts unbelievable bad, whoever designed the downstairs layout should never work again, a few tweaks could make it really good.
