So it's your personal expectation that this squad is Top 6 in your opinion - where has the Club stated we have a Top 6 squad and your only differentiation is the Manager - really?? Europe is an ambition, the expectation is to become an established Top 10 side.

This is the problem - some fans have wildly different expectations than those stated by the club.
The problem is we all know how good we can play but are so inconsistent.

This isn't helped by FH seeming to want to rotate the squad at the expense of playing a settled formation.

We've rocked up today starting with only one winger and that one has been drifting inside meaning we've played a lot of the time with none.

It's like he's prepared to sacrifice European qualification for getting game time into certain players.

Let's hope we reap the benefit of that next season and don't rue losing a rare opportunity of playing in Europe.

I didn’t go to Forest but that’s the most abject I’ve seen us play live this season, wheels are really falling off

This appointment stinks of arrogance as a club as far as I’m concerned. We are a poor team now and with the players available to us, we really shouldn’t be.
It really doesn't. At worst it's a mistake - a mistake that 90% of Brighton fans were hugely excited about. If it hasn't worked then so be it.

Could we also say RDZ was crippled with player injuries last season? I did at the time.
His injury problems all seemed to be attacking wide men. This year every single defender, apart from JPVH and Cashin (that’s 8 players) has missed a significant chunk of games. I think that four of them Ferdi, Igor, Veltman and Webster will have been unavailable for over half the season by May.

That is an insane number of injuries to have to deal with in an area of the pitch where consistency is everything.

Cashin hasn't played enough to get injured!

Instead of saying it’s not FH’s fault constantly you must be happy with the tactics that have seen us get dumped out of the FA cup and European places.
Explain why they are so good.
We beat Newcastle and Chelsea in the cup. We weren't dumped out, we were just facing possibly the best defence and penalty taking team in the country. Not good but not punishable by getting the sack.

FH is a manager who is learning. If he is making the same errors in a few years time, we should bin him off but what sort of moronic ownership would recruit a young manager with a huge future in order to develop him (like we do with players) then sack him off after he has made a few errors but has had to cope with the worst injuries in the premier league (by far) and a defence (looking at our next fixture) which most Championship clubs could tear to pieces.

RDZ gave up. I think the players have given up for FH . . . . Or some of them, the glaring issue is Dunk . . .I honestly think he thinks he's better and/or knows better but he's lost it, totally, and dragging us down. I wonder if he's part of the problem in the dresing room.

the new boys are a work in progress . . . We just see glimpses every now and then . . . . Most of them will come good.

Weiffer played well today.

FH needs to grow a pair, quickly.

The club captaincy needs to change.

FH is a team player, but it sill doesn’t prevent a pile of shit. Verbruggen the worst PL keeper statistically, the eternal RB achilles heel targeted by every opponent, little protection for the defence, only two quality CB’s in the club, the mad defensive line at the half way line. Radio Sussex just said we’ve conceded the most counter attack goals in the PL with 11. Fck all done about that, no adaptation whatever the hand dealt.

Aspinall now is damning of the playing of players with no confidence.

I bet Dunk thinks he‘ll be integral to our next season. Can the club and the next manager make the hard call?

Wieffer …. I rate him and posted on the match thread at 3pm that I was pleased he was chosen.

I'm still (nearly) half-full. Still 10th, 15 points to play for and 8th spot likely to get into Europe.
Mad from Pedro, shit from Dunk but we're in with a shout.
For those of you mentioning TB on his phone - what are you expecting - A Zoopla advert for a large, countryside residence with no bedrooms, plenty of toilets, 'workable 'kitchens', outside terraces and poor connections to the City centre, to appear online?
I *know* it looks unlikely that we can win many more points, but FFS, we can - and I hope the players have more faith than some of you.

I think it’s arrogance. Pretty much the entire football world would have thought a team battling for Europe in the toughest league in the world appointing a 31 year old from the German second division was mental. We tried to be too clever.

I’ve read some people on here defend Hurzeler by saying we’re doing what we do with players - investing in him for the future and hoping for pay back in the future. If that really is the case, that is naive bullshit of the highest order. You can get away with that with individual players you can hide in the under 21’s or on loan in Belgium, not with the man in charge! He needs to know what he’s doing now.

Ok your not going to answer the question, fair enough.
None of the staunch Fab ins ever do, I read a lot of fluff but nothing concrete.

Both seasons had a stack of injuries, covered by stats people here recently.
