Arsenal have had slightly more based on the number of players who played the majority of matches last season, being unavailable for minutes this season.

This is slightly skewed because several of ours who have missed a lot of minutes aren’t counted in that statistical method, such as Milner.
Woukd that method include new players - eg Ferdi missing over 6 months and O’Reilly, Weiffer and Gruda being injured for a few weeks?

Yeah Wieffer did well today. He wouldn’t be playing there ahead of Lamptey, Veltman or Kadioglu, so he did particularly well for a fourth choice right back playing out of position.

Not sure - let’s just agree that our injury situation has been atrocious for many seasons now.
Not sure I agree with the last bit. It’s only really been the last 2 years where we’ve suffered from lots of injuries to key players.

It felt like a fairly average number in all seasons before that. In fact for our first 2 seasons I thought we were quite lucky to only lose Izquierdo for a significant period. Imagine if we’d have lost any one of Dunk, Duffy, Gross, Propper or Bruno for any significant spell.

Certainly under Hughton, but under Potter we had some bad injury runs.

Better that than a 20 year old who’s only senior experience is in the Papa Johns Pizza cup and will probably end up being released and playing semi-pro.

It’s an unfortunate fact that in elite football academies, a large number of the players are only there to make up the numbers.
Maybe.you are right.
Who knows?
But what are we risking?
The season is over because our 'best squad ever with increfible depth' have shat the bed.
I would rather see some ofour U23s lose against a shit West Ham than our failed first teamers struggle to a draw/loss against a piss poor west ham/wolves/spurs.

Can't see our first team winning another game
If i could be bothered to go back to the next manager threads at the time then yep, it was close to unanimous excitement at the appointment and, if memory serves, he was by a mile the most popular of the options - of course there were some who weren't so keen. As I can't be bothered we'll just have to agree to disagree or feel free to prove me wrong if you like - I'm usually wrong.
Pretty sure the excitement was for our imminent signing of McKennq, no Maresca, no. HUERZELER.

He was definitely our first choice.

I do laugh when I see comments like this, because you absolutely would not rather see that. The reaction to that team sheet on here would be apocalyptic - “we’re throwing away the season, the players are refusing to play for him, he’s lost the dressing room, doesn’t know what he’s doing, want a refund if he’s not taking it seriously, on the beach”.

And when our even more inexperienced kids inevitably lose, the meltdown would be epic.

So no, you don’t mean that, you’re upset and venting.

I genuinely can’t remember anything too bad. Lamptey is an obvious one, but he wasn’t really that well established when he had his first injury spell, and we had Veltman and White to cover the right side. It felt like all of our most important players were always available.

Glenn Murray is another I missed off the previous list. How f***ed would we have been relying on Jurgan Locadia for goals in those first 2 seasons?!!

Lots of arguing among Albion fans at the game, which added to the ‘fun’.

Then to top it off, a family wouldn’t let us squeeze by to get to the aisle to LEAVE at the end of the match because the mouthy mum was, and I quote, “talking”.

Morons.

Did you play by ancient chivalrous rules, in not then barging past her?

I do laugh when I see comments from fans who pretend there is still something to play for after taking 1 point from 3 teams in the bottom half of the table.

I don't need any sympathy.. it's not simply this result either, its just this,....I think after 51 years of actively supporting the boys( not at Gillingham)... I am binning the ball ache of queues, trains and £7 pints...plus my 150 mile e/w journey..I have cancelled my ST renewal .... I was attending a weekend finale with Liv at home...not to be now.....I will scan the reports and chats on NSC etc, but that's me done..... adios amigos.

Anyone at the game report on the atmosphere amongst the support? Definitely heard some negatively through the commentary that’s unusual at away games.
