Given the continuing chaos there's surely an opening for local residents with a driveway to cash in with that 'park in my drive' or whatever its called. If they don't already of course.
There aren't that many places in Coldean that have drives. There's just one house in my street with one and just a couple in the next street along. I think there was a market for permits so that people could pay to park in the street but the council are going to cut down on that by allowing permits for designated cars only. Not sure when that's coming in though

Way out West
Waited until the final whistle, then legged it. Thought I may have been handicapped by the fact that loads of people left early when the third Liverpool goal went in. However, got to my car, jumped in, drove straight out - had to queue for about a minute to get out under the bridge, but on to the A270 within a couple of minutes.

Final whistle: 21;23
At car: 21:42
Out of car park: 22:05
At @Papa Lazarou'sin Worthing: 22:33

So, 42 minutes.

We had what looked to be an excellent space, literally end of row, a couple of rows from the exit gate. I thought we might have been on for a sub-30, but it wasn't to be.
Took me nearly that long just to get to Lewes on the train and I left 6 or 7 mins before the final whistle

23 mins to get out of the car park isn’t much worse comparatively to other modes of transport - I had a 24 minute wait to get on a train at Falmer because of queue on the bridge and my mate waited 20 minutes for his P&R because of queues so same for all fans last night however we travelled.

Have you considered the 49 bus as a Plan B? Ok it's not the fastest, but journey time from just past the Bridge Car Park to Portslade station is about 45 minutes
Might be a plan for next evening game. Can’t be doing with another three or four carriage shitfest.
