To be fair, if it was against us it would have 100% been given as a foul. You can see why they do it.
There’s a time to try that but you don’t do it when you leave a dangerous attack on if it’s not given. He needed to stand strong and delay the player, not get one touch and fling himself to the floor.

Think we played quite well but more concerned by the potential narrative of 'we're young and inexepreienced. The team and manager is growing. Our time will come etc'. I never really felt we were going to score today.

Villa just bided their time and got their goals. No messing around. We don't really look like we believe we will score. No goals in two home games.

Cashin looks good doesn't he . Alarmingly slow. I'm not a fan of Ayari and his shot at the end was pathetic. That said, our two most dangerous moments today was his free kick and pass to Mitoma.

On tonight's evidence no chance we will finish above Newcastle and Villa. Can't stand them but they are stronger than us sadly. Would be great to win on Saturday.
Disagree with last paragraph bit spot on with the rest. Oh so predictable. That game on Saturday I can see as being the thorn which bursts our bubble this season.

The result was worse than the performance. We played well without scoring, and got done three times on the break. I’m still proud of the team, I just want us to be more incisive.

You’ve clearly got a proper downer on our manager, I’m still very much onside.
No I think he’s done well this season. When we have a off day you are allowed to say so

O’Riley just ran into people when he came on. Atrocious.

Cashin. Sorry but that debut screams lower league player.

Gruda quiet

Verbruggen had little to do and did none of it

Thought Pervis was our best player
