You think football fans are rational? I refuse to believe he would have been out of a job if he’d stayed. Nobody knows, but it’s very convenient to say he wasn’t assured of one and so left, within 24 hours, with no choice allegedly so he remains a cult figure…for some. Not me

It’s because he was given so much slack to improve the team over two seasons and we watched a lot of insipid football before things started to improve and then he left one month into a new season saying things like “ if he wanted an easy life he would have stayed at Brighton“. Fantastic finish even the Stewards were jumping for joy unbelievable scenes. Increadibly despite WHU being 'massive' everywhere they go, we made them look rather small. Really enjoy that.
