I know you can't for one month loans, but what about for 6 month loans?
Sorry if this is somewhere else, but could not find it.

No. They can't. Relax!!
No, and we have the option to BUY in January.
I am not so sure Newcastle can't recall him.
Didn't Fergie recall a couple of Utd youngsters from long term loans at Preston after his son got the axe?
Unfortunately with every goal his value will go up
I imagine we have already agreed a fee for him.

Then why is he on loan?
Surely if a fee has been agreed he would have been signed permanantly?

Because he's still got an injury. A fee was agreed, but when he failed the medical we couldn't risk the price tag, so we've got a deal where if his injury doesn't look like a problem when January comes, we pay the money and keep him. If the injury is a problem, we don't (or at least we re-negotiate).Then why is he on loan?

It's not easy to compare with what other clubs have done with loan deals. This isn't like a big club loaning out a great young talent to get some match practice before coming back, Newcastle didn't want him, we wanted to buy him.
You can be sure that the fee for January has already been agreed, and Newcastle can't increase it.
