They did/do have injuries but Glasner is a top coach and will probably win it* for them.

Will try and and not get too irritated by that. They haven’t won anything yet. However the thought of us finishing 8th but not getting Europe because they’ve won the cup doesn’t really bear thinking about.

As much as (on paper) they had an easier path to today, they (spit!) still stepped-up and did the business...in some style...today. Painful as it is, they deserve to be in the Final. That said, I really hope they get trounced, as the fall-out from seeing Palace win the Cup would be awful.
Again, if they manage it, through clenched teeth, I'd have to say well done, and hope that we can qualify for Europe by dint of our results over the season.
I'm just thrilled that we showed so much character, today, and managed to keep us well in contention.

Already heard villa excuses, they are tired and have played more games than Palace! How much is Villa's squad in comparison?. Palace were a little bit peeved that they had 24 hours less rest during the week. It certainly didn't show did it?
