Beat this for a service.

Wheels. Yes, 2 of them.
Complete drive train, i.e. chain, cassette, mech, derailleur, rings, cables, bottom bracket and cranks.
Plus the normal stuff.

I wasn't bothered about seeing an itemised invoice. £570. Well worth it though.

Done a Frexit, now in London
Does anyone know why Ride London has been cancelled for 2025?

Quick question for the tech minded here. I've found a silver 105 11sp crank-set for £25, but its a 175mm length, instead of the 172.5 I have atm.
Will that really make a huge difference to a setup / my mechanics? 🤷‍♂️

In general, going longer is more likely to cause bike fit issues and discomfort than going shorter. Although, obviously, if you have long legs then you'll want to go long.

I think the more pertinent question is, why put fishing tackle on an Italian bike ???

Because thats what it came with! If I could afford to swap it all over to Campy, I WOULD!

Mr nickbrighton had his bike stolen from the bike racks by the Uni Sports centre, and beryl bikes station during the game on Saturday. They cut through THREE steel cables to do it, and got away with his electric bike, two crash hats , weather jacket and three locks, they for some reason also took my bell, tool kit, and rear light although left my bike which was locked to his, and so was not secured after they cut through the locks. (not sure what that says about my bike!)
We thought that the bike racks were covered by CCTV from the sports centre but on enquiring with campus security the cameras only cover the car park and approaches, so if you leave your bike there be awareits not covered by CCTV

This is the second bike he has had stolen, the first from the railings near the bus stop at Falmer station. We will now no longer cycle to the games
# Update#
So last Friday afternoon I was called by the bike shop where I purchased said bike, I had notified them of the theft in case the thief tried to buy a new charging unit, He informed me the police had been in contact and thought they had my bike. Fast forward to this morning and i get a call from the police confirming they have recovered my bike along with multiple other bikes, Sadly only 3 bikes ( mine and 2 others) had been reported stolen and had information so the police could trace the owner. I had not removed the sticker from the shop showing where the bike was bought from and there was also the bike serial number on the frame. Please consider getting something on your bike on the slim off chance it gets recovered by the police.
Also a little unknow fact, E-Bikes and Scooters can not be held in the usual lost property, or storage areas due to the batteries and as such have to be stored in car compounds, so although it was good news regarding the recovery of my bike I then had the privilege of handing over a statutory (recovery) fee and storage fees totalling £244.
That said this is a positive outcome and i am grateful to the Police and the bike shop ( G Whizz ) in helping reunite me with my bike.

Looks like Ive pretty much finished my new setup of the Cinelli.
Found some silver Miche calipers, to match the ones on the bike already (the front bolt on the Sachs set was just a fraction too big to fit into the fork) and also a Miche 11 speed crankset - £50 for both.

@1066familyman will be pleased that Shimano is now getting outnumbered by Italian components 😁

Your bike gets stolen and then the police rob you, what a system. But glad you got it back.

Ok, I couldn't help myself, so I've watched all the Spring Classics so far, in full on catch up, on you know where.

I haven't watched the big one today yet, but just caught up with the men's Dwars door Vlaanderen. I thought this year's Milan Sanremo was good, but wow!....DDV was something special!

Anyone know what this is on tyres that have been on a bike in storage for a couple of years?

They're Michelin PRO 4 Endurance. Brand new when I put them on the bike, but I never got to ride on them. The tread and the insides of the tyre are immaculate, with no cracks or anything. Just this strange rubber bobbling on the sidewalls. The sidewalls were coloured red I seem to remember, and it's that colouring that seems to be doing the bobbling. I can't find any info online anywhere.

Would it be risky to use them?
