England boss Steve McClaren's plans for the Euro 2008 qualifiers with Estonia and Russia have been hit by a knee injury to West Ham striker Dean Ashton.
Ashton was injured during the Hammers' 1-0 defeat at Aston Villa on Saturday.

West Ham boss Alan Curbishley said: "It looks like it is the knee ligament so he must be doubtful."

With Michael Owen's fitness uncertain and Emile Heskey sidelined, Ashton, 23, looked likely to play at Wembley on 13 October and in Moscow four days later.

I think it disgraceful the way Zamora has been treated as this club. 11 league goals , by far top goalscorer, he was responsible for keeping them up at the end of last season only bettered by Terez and he is now cleaning the bogs
