The players know they didn't have a good game, so do they really need reminding?
Do people feel better for shouting their disapproval at footballers?
What difference do they think their input is going to make?
Did anyone go one step further and flick them the Vs or maybe even a cheeky

Back on here after several years away. Felt there were things that needed to be said.

Andy Naylor referenced the brevity of the boos. Fair enough they were brief. But that brevity for me underscores the problems. Disconnect. Disinterest. Discombobulated time and time again.

I have tried so hard to understand what Hurzeler's style and identity are all about but as best I can see now we are just hoping for the best. The disconnect and disinterest are of his making too.

But for all this there was something very peculiar and something very 'Millwall' about Saturday.

Many will remember THAT Millwall game and in particular how Hyppia never once rose from the bench in the 90 minutes. Check out Hurzeler on Saturday. Reminded me of that. Very odd. For those that say, well what would you have done differently, I simply turn your question on its head.

How did any of those substitutions on Saturday make a difference to our quality and dynamic? I am afraid that home draws against Ipswich, Southampton and Leicester are the mark of this season and we really must drink that in...

I didn’t boo. Never have and never will.
Thats not to say I was satisfied in any shape or form with Saturdays performance though.
Things may have been very different had one of those players with a golden opportunity been able to hit a barn door.

The most funny booing incident I’ve witnessed was the Murray incident at Brentford. Middle aged men losing their shit and why because Murray didn’t clap the fans when he went off during the game. It was something I didn’t even notice and couldn’t care less about. He was pretty bad all game as he had just come back from a lay off.

I'm very aware that having booooooooooed Chelsea three times this season my booooo reserves are running low and it's important to preserve them for the moments that really matter rather than waste then on something that seems like it might be counterproductive.

I do think there is a time and a place for booing, and I understand why people did. But in my opinion the time for booing is when there is a clear lack of effort from the players, and I don't think that was the case, they just had a shit day at the office.

I like the way FH didn't throw his toys out the pram about it either, unlike some former managers.

I've very rarely booed in the last 55+ years of watching the Albion. But I was very selective in my clapping though and I think they knew.

I went one step further. I didn't clap AT ALL and I gave the players a stare that clearly said 'you are very lucky I have chosen not to boo this time, but push me one more time and you might just tip me over the edge'. I also kept purposely glancing towards to my two kids to say 'you are letting these children down'.

I'm fully expecting a reaction for West Ham.

Nonsense. I witnessed us being booed off at the Goldstone many times. If anything I'd say it was more prevalent then.

It was nothing like Millwall in 2014 whatsoever. Apart from Lewis Dunk playing in both games of course.That was truly the nadir of the Amex era.
A few boos and a disappointing frustrating performance given only a few weeks ago we were beating Chelsea, Fulham and Bournemouth but a frustrating afternoon does not always have to equal "worst ever" . We were arguably on our way to L1 with Sami . No wonder it was getting a bit testy.

Anyway have a look . God what an awful night that was.
