As Alan Sugar says, this will likely be reversed within the next few months and presented by Trump as a win. I believe he is acting like a King, wanting to see who his friends and enemies are globally.
And those panicking about their investments, I would say hold the nerve. The worst thing you can do is jump out AFTER the bad thing has happened - confirming a loss, at the moment it's all hypothetical. Obviously we don't know yet how much further it may fall, but chances are we have seen the biggest fall already. Obviously cannot confirm that, but when you look at previous similar(ish) falls, the majority happens right at outset.
Unless you need the funds in the next 6-12 months, I would suggest the best thing is to hold tight and ride it out - that's what history has generally shown us.
