He's surely set up for life now, wonder whether a rematch is sensible
It feels like the story is complete.
I’d like to see Benn in particular chase world titles now Rather than a rematch.
As for Eubank - for much of the fight he looked old in there. I wouldn’t want to see him in the ring with a top class super middleweight.

This.

They allegedly will split £10 million (gate money, merchandise and PPV) 60/40, after exes but before tax.

As exciting as the fight was, it’s not the all time classic many our saying, and one member of the Talk Sport team put it on a par with Hagler vs Hearns, to quote Eubank Snr from many years ago “I want him tested” 🙈

Just watched it back, to reiterate as exciting as the last two rounds were, Eubank looked everyone of his 35 years, with a plausible argument if he’d been up against a fighter in his own weight category he might have been put away.

Clearly there are people he will listen to, and I hope one of them has the foresight to tell him to retire.
If he'd been up against someone in his own weight category, he'd be in that category too, ffs
& hydrated, stronger & with ten times more energy

Eubank was fighting in his own weight category, middleweight. All of his last few fights have been at middleweight and he's the current IBO middleweight world champion. He didn't come down in weight at all for this fight!

Cracking fight and performance from both boxers. Loved the nostalgia of the walk on and them fighting in the same colours as their Dads did in the 90’s… £20 very well spent…

One thing bugging me, why do they announce him as being from East Sussex and not from Brighton? Senior was always from Brighton and I don’t recall ever hearing a boxer introduced as being from a County rather than a town / city before this?
I liked that. It included us folks who live in the East Sussex towns outside Brighton. It made me feel included. You rarely hear East Sussex said on TV.

That’s my old point, at 35, I think he’s had his time.

Are you saying that say they’d have put him in with 25 year old Middleweight Hamzah Sheeraz (ranked 2 above CEJ in the Ring Magazine ratings) last night, we would have had the same result?

Do not get this Junior in round 12 had a lot left to me. Infact the older man turned it around in the last 2 rounds

It wasnt hitting the 160 weight that was the issue, it was the rehydration clause and not being able to replenish like he usually would before fight night. Ordinarily he would have well over 30 hours from the weigh in to rehydrate, and would get to a much heavier weight and level of hydration for a fight than he was able to. As a result he was pretty drained and lost a lot of his power. Many of the critics where correct, its actually really dangerous to have those clauses as the risk is that you dont have the right levels of fluid around the brain which really isn't ideal if someone is punching you very hard in the head.

You must have had different TV pictures in East Sussex 😂 Hard fought and entertaining contest but they both looked dead on their feet towards the end, Jeff Powell described it as two drunks fighting down an alley!

Hamzah Sheeraz has had one step up fight and drew. How are you so confident he wipes the floor with Eubank Junior?
