He's still only 20 contracted until June 2029, so time is on our side and we can afford to spend more than a 4-5 weeks of pre-season training sessions getting his form back. Reckon a season loan at at Championship club would be an option.

Was thinking about this the other day. In some ways a season at a promotion-chasing Championship club seems ideal... but if the player doesn't set that very competitive division on fire their value would be absolutely trashed. Maybe a top level foreign loan is better as there's less of a down side if it doesn't work out.
