Yeah but one of them is a 6ft bull that gets stuck in and the other 5ft 8 and easily pushed around.
Yup. This is the key. Ultimately you need an outstanding physical attribute to be a top level striker unless you are at Messi levels. Connolly always looked light weight. That was always going to be a problem way before his head went.
I can't see a weakness in Ferguson's game, and as a player who's outstanding attribute appears to be physicality he is way, way off his peak.
Foolish to get excited but this guy looks the real deal to me.

Our only striker to score league goals and only played two games. Probably ruined a few prospective loan enquiries as well

The Irish Haarland - he is going to be great and there is a club and team around him that will stop him going #shooshconnolly

The expectations for a forward here is pretty relaxed though. He’s already got 2, so he can go 10 games without scoring and still be in credit!
He could go 10 seasons without a goal and he'd still be about par for an Albion Premier League-era striker.

More like Erling is the Norwegian Ferguson.

There was one moment he took a page straight out of the Glenn Murray playbook. Backing into a central defender, holds the ball up and then waits for the touch from the defender and crumples to the ground to win the free kick. Classic Murray shithousery.

Top footie fact. Evan Ferguson has scored twice as many goals in the last 4 days as Des Walker got in 22 years.

We don’t need to sign a striker now. Would actually be interesting to see him play upfront with connolly 😂

Reminds me of kane. And kane wasn't any good until he was about 20.

Ireland very clever to cap him already

If we think we’ve got another diamond there’s no way he’s gonna be played week in week out. Let him soak it up in and around the first team squad. Play him sensibly and let him develop. We’ve come a long long way. I’m living the dream.
