Is it time for a the Fan Advisory Board to arrange a petition to the club? Something along the lines of...
We the undersigned request the Board and management of Brighton and Hove Albion FC to use all possible means of persuasion to insist that Southern Rail finally provide an adequate match-day service to and from Falmer Station. No longer should it be acceptable to provide only 3 car trains, nor have intervals of more than 10 minutes between services at peak match related times. Furthermore rolling stock suitable for mass-transit such as Thameslink style cars (which have a far higher standing capacity) should be used for matchday services.
Didn’t know they offered that but not exactly attracting people at that price. I wonder if the club enquired and were given a silly price to use it at which point it wouldn’t make commercial sense. For the marathon this weekend, the University of Brighton car park is being used for Park and Ride - 5 levels for competitors and one level for staff. I don't know what the charge is for people using this service.
For Albion games, I think the University charge £15 for parking in it, with no bus included.
The University is strapped for cash. If the car park isn't full at £15/car, reducing the charge could make it more money. But aren't the buses that pass the University rammed by the time they get there?
Thanks for the heads up. Booked that as I need to get home fairly quickly after the game.In response to my plea - post 61 - EDF parking just become available for Leicester game![]()
I got a morning train to London this week, first time for some years. It was rammed by the time it had left HH. I'm sure there are more people WFH these days, but I think there are not as many as the right wing press would have us believe.

The question should be are there any clubs our size who do it worse? The answer is no.Are there any clubs of our sort of size who do it well?
Wandered along to their midweek game against Bristol the other Tuesday…The attendance for Millwall's last mid week game was 12,380. It's a little different.
The British Transport Policeman I spoke to on Wednesday night who works all the south east/London matches said that in his experience Brighton has by far the worst post-match bottlenecksWandered along to their midweek game against Bristol the other Tuesday…
Went 2-0 down on 80 mins - half the stadium immediately headed for the station.. 15 minute wait for a 4-car service; which was then cancelled. Queuing system was in place at South Bermondsey and train was busier than a usual Falmer post service…
The grass is not greener elsewhere..!!
