LOVED seeing Lewis refusing to be bullied by Max and forcing him into a typically rash move that we haven’t seen since the season Max was gifted the World Title. He has now done it twice in the last few races. He does not do being challenged and after two and a half years of having the best car he’s being a complete dick as he finds himself second best again.

Pleased for Oscar and worry that Lando may be a bit of a Prima Donna, he had to move over as he was gifted the lead to stop the Hamilton undercut which would have given him the lead over both of the McLarens, it was all very childish over the car radio, should have just agreed to let Oscar past.

If he'd done it immediately, he could have used the tyres to the tune of 4s and won on merit.

I'd give him that, but he has all the cards, born into it, pushy dad who's channelling his own dreams, from bitter failure, through his son . . .using Schumacher as an example . . . The last person to win everything at any cost. every single aspect of coaching, management, race team, designers, engineers, strategists etc etc are all geared specifically to one person, the car is designed round him. He literally cannot fail, and he's not programmed to cope with that. The more he's succeeded the worse he's got. Which is hilarious to watch . . . I'd be amazed if he has a soul to search and come out sunny side up like Vettel Did.

It's just driving cars round in circles at the end of the day. There's really no need to be a totally unpleasant cheat.

The "I thought he was supposed to leave a car's width" was particularly rich given his propensity to, in footballing terms, leave something on his opponent whenever he is challenged

I wonder now Piastri has his win whether McLaren will be more ruthless in backing Norris as the realistic championship contender? The other top teams would have no qualms about doing so, as I suggested after Silverstone they need to be a bit less collegiate and a bit more ruthless to succeed.

It’s tough to deny a youngster their first win. Much easier to get him to play the team game going forward now.

If McLaren had pitted Piastri first - as they should have done - I think Norrris would have won anyway. But Piastri deserves his win, he has been excellent this season and made more experienced drivers look ordinary.

As for Max, it was like he'd regressed 5 or 6 years to the impetuous, reckless twat he used to be. Marvellous!
