Agreed, that's the regroup bit.Depends on who stays and who goes and who comes in.

I'm fully aware of that. Let's wait and see what the total points going to be, might still be the best season ever. We’ve took 1 point from the last available 9 not exactly rolling in at the minute.
I hope you are right.Agreed, a tall order, but I'm not willing to write us off just yet.
Chin-up...could be worse - imagine being a Spurs or United fan.I hope you are right.
I am feeling resigned at the moment.
Don't worry I am still pretty happy with where we are at the moment. If this is a disappointing season then I'll take it.Chin-up...could be worse - imagine being a Spurs or United fan.![]()
Nope. Actually very slightly over performing. 49 xG and 51 goals.I don't know much about xG stats but from watching every game I think the Albion should have scored quite a few more goals from all those chances created. You can hardly blame Fab for it. It's true though that it doesn't look like the last games with GP or the first season with RDZ. But, the points are rolling in, keep the faith and that they get that ball in the net!
Might still be the best season points-wise, but the football has sucked for much of itI'm fully aware of that. Let's wait and see what the total points going to be, might still be the best season ever.
So, an improvement from the second half of last season when our football was by and large dross and our points total reflected itMight still be the best season points-wise, but the football has sucked for much of it
I guess the real comparison is between the first half of those two seasons thenSo, an improvement from the second half of last season when our football was by and large dross and our points total reflected it
It can be, sure - still, it was not unreasonable to ask in pre season whether we would carry our late RDZ form into the new season and it's brilliant that we very much did notI guess the comparison is between the first half of those two seasons then![]()
Absolutely thisMight still be the best season points-wise, but the football has sucked for much of it
Wow, I wouldn't have guessed that, I must have had my blue/white specs on!Nope. Actually very slightly over performing. 49 xG and 51 goals.
Our underlying stats have us firmly as a mid table team. Which is what we currently are.
The mad outliers this season are forest. Their numbers have them down in 12th.
I was trying to explain my feelings about FH to a Man City fan today who asked about him.To be honest, I cannot make my mind up. I really want it to work for the guy and for us. I havent connected with Fab like I did RDZ, perhaps that's the problem. It's the mundane 'trust the process' and cliches. There is a reason that there is no 'Fab cam' he rarely moves from the dugout, even during yesterday's 2nd half dross.
He's been given a top 10 squad with plenty of depth compared to RDZ. It just whether he get get that extra 10% out of them. At the moment, that doesn't seem to be happening. Hopefully, injury woes ease up for next season and he has better luck of it. We can then really judge whether he's getting the most out of what he has.
Good analogy.I was trying to explain my feelings about FH to a Man City fan today who asked about him.
I said that watching a RDZ Brighton was like having an Italian sports car. Fantastic feeling, exciting, but a bit unreliable and FH was like driving a VW. Fairly boring but relatively efficient overall (9th in the league but without ever exciting me).
Tactically I think FH is poor. I don’t think I’ve seen a game where his changes in formation/ tactics have won us a game.
He’s bland in my opinion and his ‘motivational’ speeches wouldn’t get me firing.
However, he’s here to stay whilst we are in the top half of the table so I’ll have to put up with him for now.
I’m not sure what you expected last season after the injuries before the new year, we went into Europa league games with under 21’s making up the bench. Before the injuries we were purring like a well oiled machine. So, an improvement from the second half of last season when our football was by and large dross and our points total reflected it
In that run of 2 wins in 12 between Oct and December ? , During the 6-1 defeat to Villa in September ?I’m not sure what you expected last season after the injuries before the new year, we went into Europa league games with under 21’s making up the bench. Your not including 3 wins 1 draw 1 loss in the Europa league during that period then?In that run of 2 wins in 12 between Oct and December ? , During the 6-1 defeat to Villa in September ?
I wasn’t watching this game but if what you say is correct, it’s incredibly thick to think it’s all over at 2-1 given what happened in the away game. This Albion side need a three goal lead in the 80th minute to start to think we may have won it already.Should have been out of sight at half time. Some brilliant football followed by woeful finishing.
At 2-1 players clearly felt the job was done, and collectively a series of showboating passes, flicks and the like from the 55min gave Leicester all the encouragement they needed to commit players forward and wrestle control of the midfield.
I thought Gomez coming in was a good shout but I’d have taken Adringa off rather than Minteh. I thought Adringa was one of the worse offenders for said giving the ball away.
I expected a PL manager to manage through the problems, not throw the towel in, have regular paddies and blame everyone but himself, whilst continuing to play suicide football with the players he had. He was a class A dick when things went wrong. Not the type of guy you’d like to be in a trench with. Not that I’ve ever been in a trench during a war!I’m not sure what you expected last season after the injuries before the new year, we went into Europa league games with under 21’s making up the bench. A couple of experienced January signings may have helped that is something we will never know. Relying on injured players to waltz back in the side and start performing immediately was probably a bit short sighted as it worked out. I can see both sides and neither covered themselves in glory.I expected a PL manager to manage through the problems, not throw the towel in, have regular paddies and blame everyone but himself, whilst continuing to play suicide football with the players he had.
