In 54 appearances for Brighton he's managed 2 assists... That is not acceptable IMO and certainly not "too harsh"
He would have tripled that yesterday if his team mates could finish.

Singling him out achieves nothing and is unfair. He is a young, talented but developing player who played way too much last year after injuries to March, Enciso and Mitoma and seemed burned out by the end, and who has rarely had two consecutive starts this season, little time to build up rhythm. Yesterday was probably his best performance for a while, its pretty criminal that none of the chances he made were put away.

He didn’t learn from Ipswich at home. Then he didn’t learn from Southampton at home. It got worse at home to Wolves and then away at Leicester. Now following him burning his tactics on the Monday after Forest and a great winning run it’s back to square ones. Today wasn’t about injuries (Leicester have their best player out all year) it was because of the constant patheticness in front of goal and mental weakness his team exudes. In these fixtures, it’s every time.

Maybe we could bring in Neil Warnock or Tony Pullis to assist Hurzeler on his tactics. We've gone from playing beautiful pass and possession football with Roberto to just lumping it up the field and hope. Sad times having to watch this shite every week.

Though he didn’t cover himself in glory with his finishing either. Really poor.

His system today could and should have seen us win 5-2. This goes back to questioning who is responsible for elite-level players missing so many chances.
Should we accept that it's ok to concede two goals ( and the we need to score 3 to win) against a team that is apparently one of the worst in the PL and hasn't scored for 8 games?

That's 'Vienna' to me. The players on the pitch let him down by not earning their keep, imo. How many chances did they have, yet fail individually?
Sometimes tactics can be blamed, but today it was the failure to hit a target that pro players should be able to hit.
Should have been out of sight at half time. Some brilliant football followed by woeful finishing.

At 2-1 players clearly felt the job was done, and collectively a series of showboating passes, flicks and the like from the 55min gave Leicester all the encouragement they needed to commit players forward and wrestle control of the midfield.

I thought Gomez coming in was a good shout but I’d have taken Adringa off rather than Minteh. I thought Adringa was one of the worse offenders for said giving the ball away.

I am getting a bit bored with his persistent excuse that ‘we didn’t get the basics right’. What exactly are these ‘basics’, and why is it seemingly impossible to get us doing them?
I think the manager is very naive, yet he says the players are. We are a young side and young manager, so naivety is at a premium.
I suppose the question is how quick will these the nippers at this level learn....and will we be prepared to underperform at times according to fan expectations.
Personally I wanted Europe as a minimum this year to give players an even bigger reason to join us, and not Palace or Bournemouth, Fulham, Brentford....
So Fab it's over to you young man.. sink or swim time.

To be honest, I cannot make my mind up. I really want it to work for the guy and for us. I havent connected with Fab like I did RDZ, perhaps that's the problem. It's the mundane 'trust the process' and cliches. There is a reason that there is no 'Fab cam' he rarely moves from the dugout, even during yesterday's 2nd half dross.

He's been given a top 10 squad with plenty of depth compared to RDZ. It just whether he get get that extra 10% out of them. At the moment, that doesn't seem to be happening. Hopefully, injury woes ease up for next season and he has better luck of it. We can then really judge whether he's getting the most out of what he has.

My only concern with him so far is I think we lack an identity and pattern of play so it’s hard to see what we are trying to do. Pre forest we seemed to be a bit more attacking and were happy to concede possession, post forest we were more solid but were picking teams off and since the international break we have been playing a low intensity, slow build up mess that is neither solid at the back or resulting in scoring goals.

With Potter and RDZ we had a clear template for how they wanted their team to play still feels like FH is yet to put a firm stamp on playing style and patterns.

Lets be honest this season has been a complete non event. Not bothered if he stays or goes tbh

Hopefully this will come after a decent transfer window.

I think the lack of pace in our defenders is hampering him and making him try other stuff.

Hopefully a high line will be our identity next season.

It's about where I am. 32 games in and still not sure of the style of play. Yes, the injuries yet again haven't helped but I can recall 1 league performance where we've played well over 90 mins and that was at Liverpool. We lost to their quality but my word we played well. We've played well in patches/halves if you like but we've also looked lost and been a defensive shambles at times.

It's hardly been a non-event, we've done the double over United, beaten City, credible draws home and away with Arsenal and made a cup quarter final. Maybe it isn't going to be quite as good as we hoped for a few weeks ago.

If this season is a non-event get ready for lots of them in the future because Premier League economics mean we aren't going to be qualifying for Europe every season.

Well I certainly wasn’t expecting a clean sheet from the moment it became apparent that JPVH was going to miss the game, regardless of Leicester’s form.

We were forced to field what I think was possibly the weakest starting back 4 since 2015: 2 midfielders, a 50% Dunk and only 1 actual defender at full fitness. Out scoring was always likely to be required.

That's how I'm feeling this morning.

Flat.

The injured players that would make a difference are not coming back in time to do so. Yesterday's performance doesn't persuade me Hurzeler can/will get a tune out of what he has.

Feels like the season is done.

Position in table is ok but do feel he has been a lucky manager this season. Far more games this season we were fortunate to win than unlucky to lose. I do think he is more like a school teacher than a leader like DeZerbi. Unlike DeZerbi he will agree with everything club said which I am sure goes down well with PB.
I certainly think players in dressing room after that crap 2nd half performance would be more comfotable facing him than DeZerbi.
