Veltman injury record over the last couple of seasons isn’t really spoken about enough is it? What % of games has he been unavailable for ?

Rutter, Webster and Veltman is such a hefty chunk of quality to be without :(
I think we can and do cope without Rutter, but we have never coped well without Veltman - and the Webster/JPvH pairing is a massive loss.

I wonder if he'll be tempted to rest Mitoma and play March and Minteh? March against Palace usually works out well for us.

I'd be amazed if March starts having not had recent minutes from the bench

There's no way that Minteh is being benched after being rested on Wednesday. March will however provide a decent back-up if either full back can't last 90 mins.

This season has been annoying. Just as we looked like we were starting to come through our injury crisis we go and get more injuries to 3 players that were all in really good form and making the starting 11 each week. Wouldn't it be a deserved bonus if one of those long-term injured players, like Ferdi or Igor, were able to make a suprise comeback to help us make a final push in late April and May?

That last international break timing was incredibly annoying also. Were flying prior to that and it just stalls the momentum.
Meant our glittering international squad came back knackered for the FA Cup Q'Final (which did not affect Forest as much).
*incredibly noticable if you compare Mitoma's performance Weds vs last Sat. (Mitoma was superb against Villa I thought).

I'd be very surprised if March started a game this season.
This... not to mention how surprising it would be to bench Kaoru Mitoma for a key match against Crystal Palace.
