This one taken during the indigenous carnival in Tilcara, Northern Argentina during early March. A Scots guy turned up out of nowhere with a kilt on and lifted it up to expose his bare bum, this is a no no in Argentine culture and even though it was carnival he had his bum spray foamed by the local old ladies.
Currently editing and processing my way through 13,000 pictures taken during 7 weeks in Argentina and Uruguay. Here's a hand held panorama from Iguazu falls (Brazil Side) . Initially didn't want to go up there, extra expense (flights etc) on a limited budget, but Mrs Shingle put her foot down.
This is a conker tree in my garden, with the sunlight reflected of the shiny buds, today.
This tree was grown from a conker I picked up from under a massive tree in Stanley Park, English Bay, in Vancouver about 8 years ago.
The tree was probably planted from an English conker in the 1880s.
The tree was no longer there when I checked a couple of years afterwards.
Mine lives on.
