Remember Knocky at the 2016 playoff semi? Was carried off the pitch at Hillsborough looking as if he'd struggle to be fit for pre-season, then came back 72 hours later and played his best game of the season.
Probably be out now until after next Christmas

Foot looked like it got stuck in the turf and either knee or ankle twisted badly. Ambulance waiting outside suggests a long absence :(

He looked close to tears coming off, and the crutches, boot and ambulance afterwards were all ominous too. Fear he may be done for the season.

It wasn't one of those sprinklers was it that he got stuck in? They are in that area.
From the fairly close up replays they showed of the situation, it just looks like he's slightly off balance and takes a step with the side of his feet, hurting his ankle. Didn't look like he got stuck in the pitch, fortunately. Maybe more than the 2-3 weeks I'm optimistic about but really don't think its something über serious.

I know we are clearly missing Webster at the back, but I actually think the biggest tactical issue FH is suffering with is not having Rutter as a focal point for pressing and direct football. Both in and out of possession, our shape doesn’t look quite right without him.

O Riley is tidy but nowhere near as dynamic in that role, and Pedro goes into a free role mode wandering all over the place when he plays there. Rutter offers incredible physicality, can play off both feet, wins his duels and contributes with assists and open play goals.

Played his last game for us, off to a CL club this summer. As will JPVH and Beleba.

Trust the process.
Are you sure? Because the Leeds fans are adamant that he’ll be heading straight back there the moment they get promoted.

I think we miss him as a player and also as a person. He seemed like a massive positive influence in the changing room.
We were discussing this as a family earlier on… in spite of our obvious tactical deficiencies, Rutter was capable of carrying us at times, a genuine talent and a loveable person too… yep, he’s clearly a huge loss on match days.

Perhaps on course for player of the season ? Until his injury… kind of similar to Mwepu who I and (we) still miss loads 😭

The dreaded POTS award, it’s got to be Verbruggen.
