Alternatively, we are 4 points off the nearest team in the safe zone. It's best to just look at it that way. It's much more comforting (assuming we make the needed change).

Perhaps I over thought our predicament, especially on a weekend when rudderless Birmingham beat Reading 6-1. On the principle of " anyone can beat anyone " in this division, provided the safe zone doesn't shift its borders too far, we're in with a shout for survival.

Strangely I really appreciate the post, can't say 'enjoyed' exactly but it was weirdly compelling. Almost like watching a horror film on your own CCTV and terrifying though you presume the outcome to be, there is a definite hope. Man! I hope.

Me too, we sat over a few beers after the match on Friday and we were at a complete loss to understand how we will get out of the situation - the realisation from the OP that it may have already have gone too far is chilling……
