Do the one by the M6 at Walsall when you go to the away game on Saturday 14th April

The Croydon store is off of Purley Way not in Purley (I'm sure you knew this already). The area can be a nightmare for traffic, especially at the weekend. So if you really wanted to visit there, best go during the week if you can. Easy to get to by tram though but of course if you're buying anything bulky then that's out.

Yeah I know it's not in Purley but on the flip side you got the lovely A27 through Worthing :(

Lakeside - it's quieter. Southampton isn't too bad and avoid the grotty Croydon one at all costs.

Lakeside - it's quieter, better, and closer (to Hastings). Plus doing a morning in Greenwich beforehand, breakfast in a street cafe, wander in the park, etc. when going with the mrs soon.

Lets see, I quite like IKEA at Southampton, but I also (for some strange deluded reason) quite like the one at Croydon 'cos you can go there on the tram. But which one is best, there's only one way to find out.................

IMHO don't go to either, find out what you want and order it online, I am sure the delivery charge will work out less than your petrol costs and you will avoid the need to try and cram whatever you buy into the car. Also you wont have to run the gauntlet of the bit at the end where you end up buying at least another 20% worth of stuff that "looks nice and may come in handy one day".

True story. I once saw a couple of chavvy types manhandling what appeared to be a flat packed large IKEA wardrobe out of the tram and up the steps at Wimbledon station.

Croydon. You can avoid atop the traffic by using the A217.

I think whichever way you go from there (through Wallington or Mitcham), you're going to hit the traffic sooner or later.
